Saying Pogacar shouldn't gift this is some next level parasocial behavior.
I agree with you once again, a completely balanced and solid take from you. Not emotional or lacking perspective at all.Sure? In the Basque Country, Pogacar was McNulty's domestique, and he hasn't wanted to be a domestique in the Tour for years.
What modern parcours would you compare the Merckx era RVV to?In case of Flanders this was because it was 100 times easier compared to now. There were like 2 hills on the whole course. He would've won Flanders 7 times if it was like now.
I was wrong. From McNulty's interview it appears that Pog gave the green light to McNulty to attack.
Nice gift from Tadej. Chapeau.
Could be.. or both maybe..I don't think Pogacar did it for UAE's image. He wanted to do it out of camaraderie, and perhaps to get his own teammates to stop being so selfish. A wake-up call.
There should be no gifts in cycling. Period. Doesn't matter if it's a grand tour, a monument, a WT race or a 1.1 race.Saying Pogacar shouldn't gift this is some next level parasocial behavior.
At least I'm giving my opinion (in a opinion forum) without making fun of others like you're doing, and it's not the first time.I agree with you once again, a completely balanced and solid take from you. Not emotional or lacking perspective at all.
I think McNulty and Pogacar hate each other, and that Pogacar despises McNulty. It definitely looked like Pogacar was super annoyed with him and his work throughout the Ardennes and that he absolutely despises him 😂.
And Ghent?Could be.. or both maybe..
Anyway I like the move.. Fine to gift a win here and there as long is not a monument or grand tour.
Yeah, and those opinions are getting wilder by the day about who the riders supposedly like or not(not other topics) by copmletely made up reasons, thats just weird behaviour nothing else. Just say it with your chest, you despice UAE, thats what it is, which I could completly understand, much better than made up stuff. At least I'm giving my opinion (in a opinion forum) without making fun of others like you're doing, and it's not the first time.
You can ignore me, thanks.

I agree, but I don't like the recipient.
I guess Narvaez didn't have the strength to attack because after the Tour, he was the one who most deserved it.
I don't think Pogacar shares your view though. He seems to like McNulty just fine.I agree, but I don't like the recipient.

I said the other day that he always struggles to get into shape in the first race after the Tour. He's always struggled in Quebec because of the course, but I think it's mainly because it's always been his first race after the Tour.He never went to his limit today. I believe he is hiding a magical shape once again. We will have more informations in the TT.
In recent years, McNulty has always been better at the end of the season because that's when he has his space as a leader.McNulty was in great form today and would've won it easily without Pog. He was a logical choice, it seems. It reminded me of some of his great days like Tokyo 2021 or Peyreguades 2022.

Maybe I'm naive but I think he will win quite comfortably (+30 seconds).I said the other day that he always struggles to get into shape in the first race after the Tour. I'm sure he'll have a good time trial, but it's going to be hard to beat Remco.
If that's the case then why even bother with the individual classification. Just treat everything like a team time trial. It's a team mate. It's a team sport.
Remco is the best in time trials and is very good at 5% . If Pogacar manages to beat him, it will be very close, especially because he took more risks on the descents.Maybe I'm naive but I think he will win quite comfortably (+30 seconds).
Where comes this myth that Remco is very good at 5%? People talk like he is a world beater in these gradients which he isn't for sure, specially with Vingegaard and Pogacar around.Remco is the best in time trials and is very good at 5% . All of this without having seen the course on television. One thing it´s to see the profile and comments; perhaps when we see it on television, we'll change our minds.

???Liège or San Sebastian. They are short climbs, and with the time trial bike.
I wanted to say that there are short climbs in the time trial . They're not too difficult for Remco, and it's done on a time trial bike.
