At Jumbo, the relationships between Roglic, Vingegaard, and Kuss were good until they had to sacrifice their ambitions.

Okay I just think its a nothing burger is all. The circus is going to be there whether Del Toro is with him or not hes not escaping it either way think we both can agree there.

Torito doesnt reach him to the ankles like everyone else but rather a good asset in reality imo. Theyre good friends, and you could argue its a good thing for him to have people he likes around too but nvm.

Pogi is clearly the focal point across all media from clickbait YouTube titles to legacy media. He generates clicks, and thereby money, its just the way it is, so indeed sure theres gonne be alot of this in the off season, just part of the game.

What’s the point of linking to something without hearing (or reading it when it’s an article)?
They do talk about this because of what Remcos father said, but they put it in the right context and it’s a sensible discussion both about Pogi going to the Tour and how things from interviews easily gets taken out of context, with a recent example about Pidcock and his GC ambitions added.

The last time he followed someone closed to Remco, he said something completely wrong (hour record).

Be fair to any Tour favorite who "get very upset about everything that surrounds the Tour". They have press almost diving into lavatories to divine their health. Of course that's figurative but look at the sh*t that passes for scoops on contenders; particularly in the off season when they are doing nothing.
That pressure is higher than the race stresses to some candidates.

Almeida didn’t have issue with working before Ayuso, he was annoyed Ayuso was hiding in the back trying not to work. Roglic, Vingegaard, and Kuss were also fighting for the win, something Del Toro and Almeida won’t be doing barring a huge breakaway time gain.

Wellens speaks as if it was quite serious. No wonder Pog's level was lower in the last week: all things considered it was still quite impressive as Vingo never managed to drop him even by a single second. Despite the crash and knee problem he still won the Tour by 4.5 minutes, wow.

It seems hard to believe he was that bad since he survived the stage to Col de la Loze and Plagne (after stage 17). But he was a level below his former self and this is even more scary for his rivals.

What he’s doing is unbelievable — and sometimes a bit boring

It’s amazing to watch possibly the greatest rider ever, but when he attacks with 75 kilometres to go, you just think, ‘OK, that’s it’. The race is over. It’s still incredible to watch, but I’d like to see a bit more suspense sometimes.

A bit of a change since "he's riding like a miner" comment in 2020. Dumo should be satisfied: at least he's a faster runner than PogiGOAT.

Maybe this explains his "washed-up" comments after the Tour. He was fatigued physically and mentally (the pressure to keep the yellow jersey while feeling bad).

Finally his comments about retirement make sense. He was probably suffering a lot physically and mentally during the last week. However I still maintain my opinion that he wasn't that injured.
Vingegaard is a monster on climbs and I have a hard time to believe a really injured Pogacar could follow Vingegaard. Pogacar is the best climber ever but he is human.
