when I'm arguing with @Froome I feel like when I'm on the beach in Makarska and some mosquitoes are constantly hanging around me, I beat my hand to get rid of them, there they are again, they drink blood, they buzz, they don't serve anything useful, god created them only to irritate man and so in 2024 when I'm drinking a cold beer on the beach in Makarska in the middle of July while watching Pog move the butt of a fisherman from Denmark and when a mosquito lands on the top of my bottle the first thing I'll think of, is you my old man froomy😘

Please just beforehand make sure it's not male mosquito, as they are not after your blood.

I get warnings in my inbox for a ban because you already know who is reporting my posts, so he can troll and screw up, and when I reply in my own style with some comparisons, a ban is immediately requested, so you know if I'm being banned, you know what it's all about. I would never report anyone in my life, even if it was a mosquito on a beer bottle on the beach in Makarska

Your legacy will go on sweet prince.

No one likes a rat.

Tadej has muscular legs and skinny arms. He is the perfect cycling machine. Only Vingegaard can compete with him in the mountains. I'm curious how it will go in Liege. I can't see Evenepoel dropping him, but let's see.
Pogacar is better on the climbs, Remco is stronger on the flats.
If Pogacar decides to go early, and can't drop him, could be nasty for him. You barely have a slipstream behind him and he's a *** locomotive who could go full gas all day.

Just stay clear of the sexist stuff, homophobic accusations, and any particular ad hominum attacks about other posters and you'll be alright.

Apparently being right about Pogi's condition is enough to make some of these guys absolutely insane. So being around to add commentary to what is happening around behind the scenes is crucial to my overall disposition as I gain my superpowers from the agony of others.

Today's performance confirmed my worry that he'll be no match for Aqua Pantani. Unlike previous years he has no cobbles in mind yet he needs motodraft cheating to put some distance into Remcos domestique. Last year he basically performed on the same level while carrying Bentacur weight.
He shouldn't have parted ways with the great and wise Don Inigo Saint Millan, now it's all downhill from here.

I still maintain that a GT is a different beast, even if he gets a decent lead early on and then decides to step back from the attacks. The battle for 2nd and 3rd place will make it so that there will be attacks that the UAE team won't be able to prevent all the time, and so keeping wheels will still use a lot of energy.

Going early (with Pogacar) is in Evenepoel's favor. In fact, i think it's the only way for him to beat Pogacar. If he waits until Roche aux Faucons or even La Redoute he's not going to drop Pogacar, and he's not gonna win the sprint either. SQS needs to dynamite the race so that it blows up early. Last year i think Evenepoel would have had a decent chance to beat him like he beat the others, because it was at the end of Pogacar's classics campaign and he was already showing decline at Amstel. This year he's working towards the Giro, so different ballgame.

Call it a long shot, but I think he has a chance of winning this Vuelta a Catalunya.

In the longer term he might make it a goal to win the ten most important stage races. I only list the first wins in a possible schedule:

  • 2020 TOUR
  • 2021 Tirreno-Adriatico
  • 2023 Paris-Nice
  • 2024 GIRO + Catalunya
  • 2025 VUELTA + Basque Country
  • 2026 Dauphiné
  • 2027 Romandie + Suisse

This is very low, not even Naichaca gives high numbers to Pogi.

This is not enough to beat Vingo mate.

Vingo version 2023 out of his best shape can do better in slightly worse conditions. Just look.

Where are the 6.5 w/kg you said Pogacar could do in +30 minutes? Don't be a charlatan like San millan mate!

Just 1 minute to Tiberi?! C'mon dude.
A comparison:

Vingegaard Tourmalet

Temp at the bottom of Tourmalet: 29ºc
Temp at the top of Tourmalet: 21ºc
How won: 7.7km solo
W/kg over length of climb: 6.09 (est.)
W/kg during solo attack: 6.3 (ammattipyoraily est.)

Pog Aine

Temp at the bottom of Aine: 22ºc
Temp at the top of Aine: 10ºc
How won: 7.3km solo
W/kg over length of climb: 6.02 (est.)
W/kg during solo attack: 6.3 (Naichaca est.)

Better conditions for Vingegaard. Similar performance.

I can't give you the details, but this Pog from Catalonia is on the same level as the Pog from Puy Dome, Grand Colombiere, Joux Plane and solidly better than Gervais-Mont Blanc, the complete data in the power profile shows that, and now it was raining here, 3 -4° at the top of the stages and altitude 2000+m and on the Tour 35° and the altitude did not exceed 1400m on these 4 hills, generally it is bad news for everyone if the Pog from the 3rd month of 2024 is at the level of Pog or a little better than in the first 2 weeks of the Tour ..

Comparing his climbing to previous springs: different climbs so not easy to do it. In the last couple of years he nuked sub 20 minute climbs (his speciality) in PN and TA. This year he won alone on 30-45 minute climbs at higher elevation (with obviously much lower average w/kg). The only direct comparison is Couillole at PN last year when he couldn't gap Vingo (who wasn't at his top level) and Gaudu (who actually looked the strongest uphill) and gaps were generally way smaller on that day. In this regard his long climbing is looking better now, no idea about shorter climbs yet.

in the last 1.5km Vallter 2000, when Pog turned on cruise mode, lost 19 seconds compared to Remco, take into account the rain and 2-4° on the hill, and from the moment of the attack to cruise mode, he made over Remco in those 5k 1:13min , what are we going to talk about, these are the facts available to the public!

Pog will be doing the Tour after the Giro, whereas Jonas will be all in for the Tour. I'm betting on the Dane to go full thermo nuclear.
Thats is of course something to take into account and Jonas is a great opponent, who can win it again. Nobody would be surprised.

Pog wants to win the Giro and it is a good time to do so.

What happens in Tour is anyones guess right now. Everybody is going there and it should be an entertaining race.
