Pogacar is the real deal, don't act like we saw other riders winning as much as he wins. This dude is the best "hilly cobbled" rider in the world, he is the best in hilly classics, he is the best climber in the world (I think Vingegaard can recover better than him but if we put a super hard mountain classic, Pogacar would win IMHO), this dude is the best sprinter if we compared with other climbers or punchers and if he would care about TT, he would be able to be top5 in every WC TT. He is so much better than others that it is sad to see. What really hurts to them is the fact they can't even fight against him with different strategies because if Pogacar wants he just does his long range attacks and put everyone on the ropes.
This is spot on.

That’s fine I know you are a big fan of AV and I was not until his thoroughly deserved world title won me over. Okay, Contador was primarily a grand tour rider. In grand tours AC was better than AV almost everywhere that counts for GC. In one day races of course not. Sorry I should be more careful

And Contador had a better peak whereas Valverde had better longevity. Really there isn't a right or wrong as to who was better overall, depends what you value more as a fan.

Valverde's career perhaps has a little more missing with no Lombardia win and no top result in RVV. Though Contador would like at least a Tour podium during the second half of his career somewhere.

As for racing styles, Contador was partly forced to be more entertaining by not having a sprint, but this weakness he is not criticised for, since stage races are virtually never won by bonus seconds. And could Valverde be as attacking in grand tours when he wasn't as strong in the high mountains?

Even Valverde knows Contador was the better rider. For some reason he had a inferiority complex about him. And it all began in the 2008 Vuelta, when Contador was the pretty boy and everyone was supporting him while Valverde was left in the dust, specially after seeing the disappoitment of seeing that Valverde was not able to fight for the win (he was one of the main favourites after Contador).

But Cauterets was such a tactical disaster on the part of the Dane, who, after not droping Pog on the Tourmalet, should have made the Slovenian work; whereas at Morzine Jonas was riding just to defend his colossal lead over Tadej, so there was no need to drop him (although who knows, had he wanted to, how things would have gone?).

Thats what would happen in one day race. Jonas would have to attack like Tourmalet.. Otherwise he's smoked at the line. Do u mean 15 seconds huge lead in Morzine, cool story bro :D

If i was vdp i would send Pogacar a few extra christmas gifts and praying he stays away a few flandern edition.

Bearing any missfortunes and without Pogacar theres noone close to beeing able to match his power like weve seen over the last couple of years.

I wonder what he will do next year.

Morgado looks like a beast and Wellens still got it, better this year than the past ones.

Bjerg is very solid as well.
Bjerg always been a beast but mainly been used early but indeed wellens shown really good strenght this year, and the adition of Politt is great pickup. Not on the lvl of Jorgenson for visma also duo to age etc but a great great pickup and just what UAE was lacking makes it even better.

Just like Pog with 3 Lombardias.

Real legends and the only ones of this era. Glad to have them both.

Their not normal. Like Wva hes a super talented and better version than Sagan in all aspects thats how great he is but hes not close to Vdp thats easy to see over the years, Vdp is a freak simply, its nothing else to say.

And Pogacar is the best cyclist of all time already properly if you look at strenght(not the greatest) and you have many more. Vingegaard for instance, incredible good and many more Evenpoel to for his age is extreme strong and list could go on.

But indeed its a divsion up to VDP and Pogacar thats true not hard to see but its truly a golden era of cycling were in. Im lucky we have all of em and to be able to watch cycling at this time is something special.

If they would have gone faster, Vingo would have been alone in the Tourmalet sooner, lose more energy, and so probably lose way more than 25 secs on MB.
If the goal was drop Pogacar on the final kms of Tourmalet, they can't do Aspin and the first 14/15 km of the Tourmalet so slow. Pogacar was very fresh when Vingegaard attacked in the last kms of Tourmalet.

I don't think these conditions today at Flanders would have suited Pogi so well against MVP. Thoughts?
Disagree. Pog is a rain master. For sure the whole race dynamic would have been different with Pog vs MVDP rather than MVDP vs the world so you can’t fully translate it but I don’t see anyone dropping Pogacar on the Koppenberg there unless he gets blocked in any way.

in a few days I will give you some of the Pog data from Sierra Nevada, but what the source tells me is that Pog is 20W better than Sola expected, everyone is in disbelief watching, everything I said about the alien Pog falls into the water, this is God mode now, people will literally be in disbelief

Maybe we need to leave something to the imagination!

OMG, the hype train is back! All aboard my friends!
Just one question Mou, why Sierra Nevada? It is freazing there. Teide was a better choice.
