Don't really know about Bissegger. It's a short TT though so you can never count him out. Tarling should be the heavy favorite to take that TT. Pogi probably goes 2nd or 3rd.

They could have brought Adam Yates who was already over there in the Oman desert, and sent Pog to Algarve to race Roglic and Vingegaard.

I wouldn't include Mathieu there I meant to speak of vingegaard who has the big mouth and who thinks he owns pog with better prep. Why don't he go to the big races and own pog now? He has been training since August no? And wait.. after the end of the 2025 tour when reality hits him in the face I hope his fans wont turn against him when he cancels the trip to vuelta to avoid pog🤞 The others including primoz, remco and vdp already showed respect for 🐐

I don't agree to be honest. Genetics is still the X factor to be a world class rider. And it is obvious, Pogacar is two steps above everyone else (Vingegaard is close when we talk about GTs, MVP is close when we talk about classics but overall they are way worse). After seeing his level last year, I kinda think San Millan was hampering his chances of really showing his dominance. So Pogi with a suboptimal training was still the best in the world. Even Bardet said how useless some riders feel when they race against Pogi.

Wellens finished 15th last year at PR, I'm just saying.
Politt was 4th and was supposed to be there with Pog, but finally didn't show up. If he could drop Politt then we'd know that he can fight for at least podium there.

Fight for podium is realistic but there will be two guys with considerably better chances to win. Those two guys are very powerful, have more experience on flat cobbles and have better sprint.

Pogacar's biggest problem will be the speed of Vans at the finish but their skill and experience on technical cobble sections can also save them some watts compared to the Slovenian.
