vinge looked like remco at tour.wtf was that attack.
Ive said before I believe Vingegaard is likely more tapped than many other riders simply from a biological standpoint. Also applies to Roglic but cause of his age, goes without saying. And if you cant improve drastically each year and got more to go on, in this age of cycling where riders improves so much each year, your getting left in the dust really fast, applies for everyone else aswell. You got tons of examples of this in cycling today.
But this wasnt any proof of that though, not at all. Its very early days and to Jonas and Roglic defense it was their first race of the season which I think may matter here(idk but likely). But its slightly worrying from their standpoint still, imo even their base levels should deal with Almeida which is not peaking the slightest at all either, especially since both Red-Bull and Visma both pulled all day and obviously thought they could win and wanted/tried to win the stage. Also its not like Almeida alter his form trajectory which happen to have more or less same schedule so no matter how you spin it, its not ideal but hardly end of the world either.
Its very early days still and way to early to conclude anything of the sorts for me, but its a worrisome sign for them, not much else yet. With a few more race days in their legs already they can both turn out to be drastically better in the TT which then again everything of this would explain itself, if not I would be more worried for them but not now. Lets see, early early days.
