This year's preparation has been untypical so Teddy's engine clearly needs more tuning.
BTW: it's less than two weeks left before the Tour starts, can't wait! Hopefully Teddy is able to reach the desired level and we will have a proper battle of the mutants!

His sports manager Joxean Fernández Matxin said his progress is coming along, and his wrist injury is healing up just in time.
“He is going well. His condition is improving,” Matxin said to Bici.pro. “We recently did a training camp in Sierra Nevada in Spain, then we went over the stages in the third week of the Tour. Next up he will do the two Sloveian national championships races, and then it’s straight to the Tour de France.”
So if Jumbo attack in the first two weeks of the Tour, Pogacar will have problems!

What's for sure is that Pogacar is going to be tested hard at the first opportunity by Jumbo and Vingegaard.
There's no way they're going to wait for "the perfect opportunity" to see how fit he is if they can blow him up before.

With this in mind, sometimes the best defense is attack. So if Pog has the legs, he will be the first to attack at the first opportunity.
