I am just hoping the team did not burn all their matches today. TJV will certanly try to attack tommorow and it was evident from the start of this stage when they gave some riders a rest day.

They burned some matches, but the guys you'd expect to be capable of the most work in the mountains were barely leaned upon at all.

What pace to set, what’s comfortable, when they’re going to attack, up the pace, how’s the weather, who farted, move over so I can pace, etc. The pace didn’t look like it went any higher and after that I think Majka paced for a little before Felix took back over.

I feel one thing that kinda got lost in all this talk about tactics is, how insane was that attack? He just kept going and going and going.

I guess this is the change of tactics from last year. Less attacking, but more sustained. The shorter attacks he did last year didn't manage to get rid of Vingegaard.

Yeah, so far he picks his moment and just goes all in with it. Like he has found a threshold that Vingegaard cant hold on to or able to push. At least in last two ones. His attack in Cauterets was too brutal. Vingegaard was not in his wheel that time though, like the other times, and had no response that time.
He did similar in Flanders and Amstel, like he has done in Puy de Dome and today. Where he just goes until the other rider breaks. Sort of how he got rid of Carapaz in the Le Grand-Bornand stage as well.
