I feel one thing that kinda got lost in all this talk about tactics is, how insane was that attack? He just kept going and going and going.
Yeah, so far he picks his moment and just goes all in with it. Like he has found a threshold that Vingegaard cant hold on to or able to push. At least in last two ones. His attack in Cauterets was too brutal. Vingegaard was not in his wheel that time though, like the other times, and had no response that time.
He did similar in Flanders and Amstel, like he has done in Puy de Dome and today. Where he just goes until the other rider breaks. Sort of how he got rid of Carapaz in the Le Grand-Bornand stage as well.
