almeida was brilliant but pogacar looked so fresh almost scary how strong he is.

That Ayuso was there to follow the selection to the line and take placement seconds from his challengers should not be overlooked. It’s very demoralizing dragging your opponent’s teammate to the line and losing to them. I think Ayuso broke Vingo mentally at that momentAnd Ayuso almost threw away all the work done by Adam and Almeida.

Those dudes were impressive. Being able to screw with the downhill pursuit was helpful to Tadej and will be more so as the Tour continues. JV looked bad except for the newbie.I was pleased to see both Almeida and Ayuso stronger than Jorgensen
And 1 away from tying Greipel for GT stage wins.
If the climb was harder and steeper I think Pogacar would gained way more from a far out attack where that was possible which it wasnt here duo to wind and gradients. Cant remember the name but a peyrero guy said it he is climbing long climbs faster than ever and he just sustain it which noone has been able to follow without blowing up this entire year.Great move from him. I think had he gone earlier he maybe would have paid the price higher up. Had he not done anything, well, he likely would have been sprinting for the win at the finish.
I thought Vingegaard was looking strong to close down the move fairly quickly, but then Tadej kept the high pace going and the elastic snapped.
A very good descent and the gaps in the end were significant. Visma not looking particularly good as a team, so it will likely be down to Jonas to gain back the time and hope to be assisted by other contenders.
Pogacar passes the altitude test portion of the Tour?
Now he has to do the heat test. It will be getting hot out there again soon.
You make it sound like Vingegaard just found his master, yet this guy was in ICU 2 months ago and gap was below 10s on top of the climb. Pogi is great, but one can for sure not rule out Vingegaard becoming stronger.kuss wouldnt even been in the front group like what... Vingegaard just blew up trying to follow pogacar like everyone else has this year when they try.

He could have gone way faster with a tailwind.6.95 for 20:48min for sea level normalized. Mou was right
