Ok, agree to disagree

I was responding to a post that cited yesterday as proof of his strength: given that he didn't achieve his goals, I said it wasn't the best day to cite as an example of his undoubted strength.

But I dont think Vlasov showed more raw power than Pogacar yesterday thats a weird one to determine strenght

Nor did I say that he did: I was rebutting the claim that the peloton was left on its knees.

Also the group just showcased how easy the stage and finale was and how little selective it really was I think.

My point precisely.

Another rider (Bernal) criticized some riders (just remember WVA) who tried to escape from the peloton when the break was already settled. Pogacar stopped for a pee and WVA was attacking at the front. Classy!

It is just me or Vingegaard, is living for free in Pogacar's head?

Why this constant need to say that he's not afraid of him?

He shouldn't be afraid of a cyclist who was in a bad condition in the hospital 3 months ago.

Vinge cant go 5 seconds without turning his head to check on Pogacar. Rent Free.

You could also argue the other way around (Vinge being in Tadeij's head) since he seems rather pressed about this matter jugding from the interview. Good for, such antics are a promising ingredient for more spectacle on the road.

Yeah but he doesn't have a chance there. He will be too tired for the race.

Exactly my thoughts still expect him to be competitive even at 90% or whatever he is but no chance for the gold.
The WC on the other hand will be epic, for me betwen him and mini Pog. Would be epic to see either one of them in the rainbow or a decent suprise winner is also exciting.

All it is I bet they really feasted of that interview with Evenpoel after the gravel stage where he said that. Its not that deep besides stupid loaded question towards Pogacar and Vingegaard from the journalists ofc.

Of course legs matter most, but intelligence also matters and he also says that in the end. Sure, if you have Pog's capacity you can get away with not racing supersmart.

Mvdp used to attack like a mad man, then he realized it didn't really work and now he races more calculated.

Not everyone can attack 80k out and make it!

So Pogi is all about legs, Jonas says he is on intelligence, Remco hinting he is riding on balls, Rogla likely a bit of everything and a bit hard to tell, from interviews. Good representation of different approaches.

We can be happy.

If he had legs way stronger than everybody else, the gaps would be bigger in GC, especially against three guys who had crashes and injuries in the last months. (Of course Vingegaard had worse injuries than Roglic and Remco, yet all of them had problems).

I'm excluding 4 or 5 guys (Big 6 without Roglic)
