He will ride Roubaix but almost certainly not next year. I do hope he gives it a shot when he is near the top of his game rather than at the tail end of his career.
Yeah, worked out well enough for Gilbert to wait, but even Pogi might need several attempts to win a race that is famous for it's cobbles and lack of climbs.

Its Pogacar then its everyone else and the gap is huuge.
+1 and goes without saying. The numbers never lie and their not exactly close in any way or form.
Just like we saw he can ride away with ease whenever he wants in a completely different level while others are at their best and limit.

Fatco and Fatacar

Next year at Flandres.

7w/kg FTP is bonkeeers, no-one is close to that even. Its other people limit.

Time to exhaustion at 7 w/kg:
Teddy: a few dozens of minutes (Z4 - lactate threshold)
Climbers: a few minutes (Z5 - VO2max)
Amateurs: a few dozens of seconds (Z6 - anaerobic capacity)
Below average Joes: a few seconds (Z7 - max. anaerobic power), in some cases 0 seconds (Z∞ - "I wish I could achieve it!")

Its also Vingegaards and Remcos(less) capacity for anarobic capacity which they only can sustain for a very small amount without blowing up. That it is Pogacar FTP is just laughable, impossible to describe how good 24 Pogacar is.

Regarding his schedule next year, I still think he should do the three GT's, the five monuments and Worlds. That's probably not gonna happen, though, so I hope he'll do something like this:

SB
PN
MSR
E3
(DDV)
RVV
PR
AGR
FW
LBL
Dauphine
TDF
Vuelta
Worlds
Lombardia

PR is a must next year imo. He's a top 3 favorite.

There are clearly some holes here, but let's not get greedy!

Smart move. Sets the right precedence going forward - no one is above the plan no matter how talented you are.

You think he's been dropped but look for him sneaking round the caravan.

Ardennes are too much and no challenge for him.
And it would be more realistic with the break after PR
GW isnt realistic but it would be funny if he wins it.

Great news. I just hope he won't be in the team next year.

I still have a tiny hope he is going to the Vuelta. However, he was on vacations until Friday... so I will not get lucky.

He loves Flanders. He can do it again because he will not race the Giro next year.
He should stay in stage-racing mode and do SB, MSR, Ardennes or only LBL as far as one-day races in the spring goes. Then take his pick on a stage-race he likes to do.

Dauphine or Swiss before the Tour.

Stay away from the cobbles next year, as well, would be the best decision imo.
