They are both silent killers, champions are like that. I laughed pretty hard when some people thought Pogacar would give stage 20 to Vingegaard, specially after these quotes and defeats in 2022 and 2023 Tours. One thing I am sure, they will train pretty hard this winter and they will show an even higher level in 2025 because Pogacar wants to "humiliate" Vingegaard and vice versa. This is the biggest rivalry cycling has ever witnessed IMHO (at least since I'm alive). I don't know how big was the Coppi/Bartali rivalry btw.

Given that there's no video/recording of Vingegaard saying that and the only source of it is Spanish Eurosport's translation of another interview, I don't think he ever said that.
I'm unable to find any original source of his words in English or Danish, and as I don't think he did an exclusive interview with Spanish Eurosport, the original and untranslated interview should be out there.

They are very good friends. I already said Pogacar is the face of cycling and his popularity is much bigger than everyone else. Nole is another star who gets in jokes with Pogacar. This is good for our sport, this brings attention, views, money to cycling.

He confirmed for Slovenian media Nedelo today that he's doing two GTs next year and he added:
"I will probably have to go to the TdF again, at the beginning of the season also to the UAE Tour, which I have not been to for two years. I will most likely compete again in the Tour of Flanders, which I missed this year, but I am also thinking about competing in the Vuelta."

Why are you playing the defense game for him? The entire team had been saying it the last 4 years. From their race director grischa niermann(last years tour) to their media outlet lantern rouge with the later even saying "thomas would cook pog" on livigno stage🤨. They were so blinded with their previous data & the boss showed them indefinable data so they're humble now

I don't think it's good to have a discussion based on false premises. Call Vingegaard arrogant as much as you please, but base it on something real.
