Geraint things what pogi means by trying something different at MSR could mean trying to jump the lead group closer to the finish rather than trying to raid from the poggio

Nobody predict that Pogi will become the greatest climber of all time in 2024.
Agree. After PdB in the Tour I felt Pog was very “Mouish”. He destroyed Marco’s climbing record by 3 minutes. But by the end of the Tour he was making Mou’s predictions which we all thought were wild look conservative 😳. Then he went on to win Lombardia and the Worlds.

Also, in hindsight Ben O’Connor’s attempt to hold Pog’s wheel on Oropa at the Giro was a mix of courage and stupidity. But I couldn’t blame him, he gambled and lost. Worse to never gamble and lose anyway.

What I also notice is Pog’s super high cadence enabled by those short cranks (165mm). I wonder if other teams and riders are looking at this now?

Problem with mou is he miss his prediction , he told us 6,5w/kg for 30 min when in reality it was 6,9w/kg for 40min. He knows something but not a lot like we used to think. Nobody predict that Pogi will become the greatest climber of all time in 2024.

He clearly mentioned 6.9 w/kg for 30 minutes at the Tour. It looked sick in March but happened indeed (even for longer than 30 mins).

Mou's greatest prediction and insight was that the Giro was Tour prep for Pogi. Nobody outside UAE considered that angle. That is why we will never forget Mou.

(I know, I only joined in July but I went back and read all those pages of Mou.)
And he is only progressing. Next year its gonne be cat and mouse to avoid him for their life.
Bro has leveled up to a demigod, literally.

This one of the reasons I think Pogi will be on top of cycling for many years. He loves riding his bike! Even after his season, he is riding his bike. This is the main difference for Vingegaard. I think Vingegaard looks to cycling more as a job when Pogacar just loves to do it as a hobby.
I don't think we should assume that for Vingegaard. We really don't know much about him when he's not racing because he's not really active on social media.

I dont blame vingegaard for his family time he has a completely different orientation of life compared to pogi. Its like pog is meant to dominate this cycling era with God even giving him urska who is also a pro cyclist as his fiancée

On strava last week Urska was still putting in proper rides even after she finished her last race and joked she doesn't do offseason and pog replied "scared for how much we are going to ride next week" they have no chill :tearsofjoy:

Theres many more significant reasons. While Vingegaard, Evenepoel and so on are terrific athletes, their not half as gifted genetically. Pogacar is simply better genetically gifted than anyone else ever been. Ive heard so many stories circulating from every rider today, masseuse's, mechanics, SD's, past riders stories of him on the bike and things which are abnormal.. Its so many its more a norm now of crazy things which for other are not normal but for him is, the aura around him and it goes from his rival teams to everyone, its very telling.

He is so genetically gifted so much its hard where to start, almost mesmerizing to a degree to the point comparing him to anyone is just unfair to that person cause they will always come up short. Not fair.

Thats why he is so talented and it is a big part behind his success. The guy lives for it.
