Fernando Pessoa is the best writer ever. I invite everyone to read his poems. He was fluent in English too.
I don't know enough about Literature to be positive about the first statement. But I wholeheartedly agree with the second one and for me he is definitely up there at the very top. I discovered "The book of disquiet" by accident and it was a truly elevating experience.

In 10 years time, Pogi will still be doing MSR and trying to win it. It will be his nemesis and long into old age he'll still be going on about how he should and could have won, but ....
Do you think that at 36 years old Pog will still ask for haircut so his helmet has a fluff coming out?
Do you think that his depth will be less in races of @200k?
And do you think that a schedule of racing everything, talk about doing all grand tours will still be entertained at 36?
I personally think that Pogacar will have a tattoo of the Poggio on his body before his 30 birthday!!
Pog Poggio!!!!

The amount of poems he wrote (himself and his heteronyms) in such a short time is just mind blowing. Just a genius!
But his best IMHO is "A Mensagem".

He just needs to try a different approach. Don't think he can drop everyone on Poggio, try to go from Cipressa, they don't expect it.

It's like 40 km from his home to San Remo. He can go there regularly. Let's see if he can finally get this monkey off his back. MSR could be the hardest race to win in his career.
It’s not much of a monkey on back—maybe just a Pygmy marmoset. It’s not a race he’s favored in and is the biggest crapshoot of a race even for favorites, so with all his splendid achievements this would not much of a burden. If a colloquialism is needed I would go with “get off the schneid” or “break the duck.”

It would be a great achievement and a race he would just love to win, I reckon.

He can do it if stars align.

Just think he finds it really exciting and fun. A great challenge for him and something that wont come easy, but he wants it. I think he enjoys that as well. It is great motivation.

Even PR will be very difficult for him

ATM we don't know which is more difficult as there has been no PR try. In MSR Pog has no x-factor over his rivals: some of them are faster, some of them descend better and even uphill one rival (MVP) can match him at least. Plus there'll be no surprise factor: everybody is watching him all the time and he has zero room to fly under the radar. Maybe a perfect nuking of Poggio from the very bottom by the whole super-strong team is the way, as @Red Rick said. But Cipressa is on the cards soon methinks.

I think he will try in Cipressa this time with a train of 4 riders. Other 3 will control the break and put also a hard pace before Cipressa (Capos).

There are only 2 or 3 riders able to follow Pogacar in Poggio.

The problem is that the only rider capable of matching/exceeding Pogs uphill acceleration is a better descender and sprinter (Mvp). Plus there are a few guys both very fast and very good descenders who can catch Pog and beat him at the end. MSR is really a difficult puzzle but Lets see how an improved (since last summer) version of Pog handles it. Demolishing Poggio once more or Cipressa?
