Great ride by Pogacar in his debut!!! Hopefully he does end up winning MSR and PR as he’s shown he can do. Best classics rider at this time who’s run into the best cobbled and flat classics rider right now and a rider that is far superior in handling. Pog’s shown he’s closer to MVP in MSR and PR vs MVP in LBL and GDL. Now’s time for a good rest before an assault on AGR, FW, and LBL.

Crazy to think how ridiculous his victories could be without Vingegaard and MVP beating him, if he kept up the same motivation.

First of all, I am just glad that Pogačar got through is first Paris Roubaix with no serious injury.

Second, what a monumental race that he just did, going head to head against the rider that is probably the best ever in Roubaix is absolutely incredible and surpassed even my expectations. After today, I am convinced that he can win this race in his career even though its going to be a hard task as long as Van der Poel remains in top shape.

With this second place in Roubaix, he also puts himself into a great position of podiuming all 5 monuments in the same year which I don't think that has ever been done before and if he wins Liège, Worlds and Il Lombardia, he will do the best one day race season ever.

You cant compare Merckx and Pogi.

Pogi basically can only lose to MVP and Vingegaard.

Eddy Merckx was losing to guys like Romain Bardet lol
And the difference is that (1) Pog competes with and beats them on their own favored terrain and (2) MvdP and Vingo cannot compete on the other's terrain. It's actually astonishing. MvdP was brilliant as usual, but for Pog to come here and finish 2nd is frankly next level.

Mads pogi and mvp were all putting in hard digs from the first sector. I think to neutralize having to cover odd attacks. It’s to the point these races are just fights amongst the top 5 or so for the last 80 km
It makes me wonder how many more monuments Sagan could have won had the racing been like this in his era where the top riders just ripped in early instead of leaving it and getting done over by the numbers game.

Had leaders just leapt with whoever attacked first from Quickstep the Wolfpack reputation would never have gained ground.

I was a huge Sagan fan but he is nowhere near the level of MVP or Pogacar
