man wind had nothing to do with this, the point is that pog is cooked, he's been in top shape since strade. You were saying in these days that pog should do agr and fleche because he chases history but I knew it that it was completely wrong. Nothing to gain (the ardennes treble won't add anything to his career) and a lot to loose because after PR and today he might have compromised liege because he will arrive there cooked
I was wrong. Ardennes treble has to wait for another year.

Surely he will skip FW now?

Considering the last two tough weekends maybe Pog should realize going solo from far out in AGR might be a bit risky and not the smartest considering what's ahead.

But Pog probably thought that Remco wasn´t on a good day considering he didn't even try to close the attack on Gulperberg. Then Remco turned on the moto and it's really him that stops Pog from winning.

Today same thing happened as on stage 11 of the TdF last year. He overestimated his abilities by going from so far out and didn't have enough in the end. Still was the strongest rider but he'll need to race more defensively next time as his form is fading.
LBL is more suited to him. No exposed roads and bigger hills.

I think this one is different. Bonking and sagging form are two different things

He will rest and comeback for more in LBL. No one can drop him so he can win LBL
of course he can win it but imo he's not the favourite because again after pr he was cooked and today has made it worst, plus in a sprint he can easily lose to remco or even other riders. And all of this because of today, it would have been completely different if after pr he took 2 weeks to rest and prepare specifically for liege. Honestly his schedule is horrible, the only way you can be competitive from strade to liege is to do only monuments + strade. Unfortunately I believe in one week you'll agree with me. This spring pog was too greedy and he risks having only one monument that considering his level is very little

I said he was the least prepared for these races and it was going to be tough after PR.

He was still very good, dont get me wrong, but as I also said yesterday... taking on every race could lead to being close but not winning them.

At the end of the day, he wants to win them.

Thats why you need to manage the schedule and sit some races out in order to maximize his chances to win those races he does partake in and not doing everything. A couple of big races he will have to sacrifice every year, in favor for others.

Maybe this year he should have sat out Ardennes and later Vuelta. Or just done LBL when it comes to these races.

He needs to be more cautious riding against Remco and specially Vingegaard

Well Pogi found out the hard way that it may be impossible to combine the Flanders-Roubaix double and the Ardennes treble. He'll definitely skip Fleche and just try to recover for Liege.

I am a cycling fan before everything else and Pogacar doing more races is better for the sport than Vingegaard, who only shows up in the Tour (this year).

When Mathieu had a 20 secs gap in Roubaix I was 99 % sure that Pog is closing it. When Mathieu broke Pogi I knew that Pog's form is in downwards trajectory.

If pog manages this race to within 30k to press an attack he wins. Time to reel in ridiculous solos without the necessary form in place

He had to swap that bike with rubbing brakes and blew up. Him and mvp were significantly stronger than the field
