His greatest enemy is excessive confidence born from his a bit cocky attitude of him that given the adrenaline of the race comes out sometimes. This year he made 3 big mistakes and all 3 consequences of that attitude. 1) the fall at the Strade Bianche where he wanted to show his downhill skills
2) the fall at the Roubaix attacking in a useless and far away section
3) today with a long range attack underestimating opponents and not taking into account not so great sensations on the bike. Today if he waited a little more he would have won easily.

Nah, today he was simply fatigued from Roubaix. You never know how the legs will be until you try. He tried, good for him.

It really seems his biggest weakness is excessive confidence. Already lost a Tour because of that (Granon) and many more races but this is also why he is so loved and why he is the most likeable and popular nowadays. This classics season have been great and he is the main protagonist for sure!

Bruyneel has a lot of experience, but he's made several mistakes with Pogacar.
I still remember when in 2022 they said that Pogacar had no chance in Flanders.

They're making the same mistakes as many Twitter/Podcast analysts, whose analyses are overly influenced by personal preferences or interests they have with teams. The bias or hate is all too evident in some famous podcasts and tweeters

But those who have been professionals in this sport don't seem to make any less intoxicated analyses.

LA at least admits he lives a charmed life based mostly on this physical skills and athletic mentality, with a dose of street smarts. He otherwise probably missed all essential education since early high school. Hincapie the same way. This explains why MVP thinks he is attempted manslaughter.

But we can put the same scenario without Remco and the race isn't really better.
Some belgian fans are really insufferable (they are too passionate), they are going crazy with Nys and today he was dropped by Pogacar really easy.

But no one can deny, Pogacar is great for cycling, without him, classics would be dreadful.

Pogacar made the third-fastest descent in the history of the Galibier. He's not that bad at descending, and he doesn't have anything to prove.

I think Strade Bianche was a rehearsal for the Sanremo descents.
Without that goal in San Remo I think we wouldn't have seen that.


The attack in Roubaix wasn't arrogance. He said he had no win sprint against VDP; he had to drope VDP like in Flanders.

The mistake was a result of inexperience and not having a good knowledge of the route. He acknowledged it, but in a race with the adrenaline rush of Roubaix, knowing it is very important to tackle each corner without thinking.
Pogacar repeated several times that it was very difficult for him to win PR, in that race he´s had everything except arrogance


I think what happened today was because his team was left alone and wanted to avoid further attacks.
In fact, Pogacar, in the post-race interview, said he thought more riders would go with him, but when he saw he was far behind, he continued.
I was also surprised that no one went with Alaphilippe.


In any case, I think the arrogance was only today. But once he goes with Alaphilippe, it's normal to continue. If they hadn't organized for the chase, as often happens, they wouldn't have realized he was cooked.

I think you're right. It's likly the peloton gets no closer than they did in today's bunch sprint for 4th. Although one can argue Pogi's podium was salvaged by Remco in this scenario

Solos are boring if it's not one of them.

There's no point in debating it; the double standards are too obvious.
They are not based on arguments. It´s pure hate.

There are certain riders I don't like that much, but I simply don't obsess with them.
I don't go to a cyclist's thread to discredit all their victories and spew hate. Nor am I on Twitter more concerned about that cyclist losing. Because some people, rather than enjoying certain cyclists or a race, suffer, and in the end, the only thing they celebrate is when they don't win.
Today, some people don't even celebrate if Skejlmose wins, just that someone else doesn't.


But that's like the double morality of those who talk about the clinic. Today the only positive on podium wasn't Pogacar, nor Remco.
I don't even want to think that would be said if it were Pogacar who has a positive in his past. They're already unbearable without any proof.

Today, those who would have told you about this don't care if the winner has a positive. Those who play the moralist don't care either; they only care if it's the hated one.

Remco always was like this. He is always outspoken and sometimes a little bit arrogant but we also need guys like him, "bad guys" are important in cycling too, to give audience and content. I hope he never changes even if sometimes we will see arrogant and childish behaviours from him.
