And that's a problemLooks too hard for teams to be a problem. Everyone will be isolated
Except for pogi should be the strongest and biggest problemAnd that's a problem
I'm worried about Pogacar in Kigali after the hardest climb.
Yes but unless he is godly strong like last year. He is not going to attack and win with a 50 km soloDon't worry, he's not going to Kigali after PR
I wouldn't make such drama today either.
He arrived completely cooked, and they couldn't droppe him or beat him clearly in the sprint.
He looked very fatigued, but on his worst day in a long time, they couldn't drope him.
Imagine arriving to the World Cup being his big goal as he said.
And I'm not sure he'll go to the Vuelta either.
The year he goes to the Vuelta, I don't think he'll do the classics like this year. Maybe he'll do the calendar some people are asking for here today![]()
5412 vertical meters, one of the hardest World Championship courses. That looks exhausting. I got tired just counting the circuits. Stopped counting after a dozen
Yes, van Wilder did a wonderful job, he saved the race for Remco too however Remco also crashed today and we don't know how much energy he spent coming backIf we are going to analyze the influence of the wind, the most affected was the one who did 40 km solo
Dude is a crazy Pogacar hater.I'm still laughing at Hincapie insisting the peloton is leveling up to pogi. HAHAHAHA
Nah, today he was simply fatigued from Roubaix. You never know how the legs will be until you try. He tried, good for him.3) today with a long range attack underestimating opponents and not taking into account not so great sensations on the bike. Today if he waited a little more he would have won easily.
Great post Jack. His greatest enemy is excessive confidence born from his a bit cocky attitude of him that given the adrenaline of the race comes out sometimes. This year he made 3 big mistakes and all 3 consequences of that attitude. 1) the fall at the Strade Bianche where he wanted to show his downhill skills
2) the fall at the Roubaix attacking in a useless and far away section
3) today with a long range attack underestimating opponents and not taking into account not so great sensations on the bike. Today if he waited a little more he would have won easily.
So Almeida is better than Pogacar because Almeida did defeat Skjelmose a week ago.I'm still laughing at Hincapie insisting the peloton is leveling up to pogi. HAHAHAHA
Just one week ago, they were saying MVP and Pogacar are too far ahead, now "humans" are closing the gap. Jesus Christ! So Almeida is better than Pogacar because Almeida did defeat Skjelmose a week ago.
Professionals doing worse analysis than fanatics in a forum.
Bruyneel has a lot of experience, but he's made several mistakes with Pogacar.
They're making the same mistakes as many Twitter/Podcast analysts, whose analyses are overly influenced by personal preferences or interests they have with teams. The bias or hate is all too evident.
But those who have been professionals in this sport don't seem to make any less intoxicated analyses.
LA at least admits he lives a charmed life based mostly on this physical skills and athletic mentality, with a dose of street smarts. He otherwise probably missed all essential education since early high school. Hincapie the same way. This explains why MVP thinks he is attempted manslaughter. So Almeida is better than Pogacar because Almeida did defeat Skjelmose a week ago.

Imagine today's race without pogi to animate it. Feels like a 25ish k solo by remco with a bunch sprint for podium behind him. Our benelux collegues would to whooping up the next merckx and going on about how great a race it was. boring..Great post Jack.
It really seems his biggest weakness is excessive confidence. Already lost a Tour because of that (Granon) and many more races but this is also why he is so loved and why he is the most likeable and popular nowadays. This classics season have been great and he is the main protagonist for sure!
But we can put the same scenario without Remco and the race isn't really better.Imagine today's race without pogi to animate it. Feels like a 25ish k solo by remco with a bunch sprint for podium behind him. Our benelux collegues would to whooping up the next merckx and going on about how great a race it was. boring..
Pogacar made the third-fastest descent in the history of the Galibier. He's not that bad at descending, and he doesn't have anything to prove.

Totally captivating race. When pogi goes and I don't see that needle moving past 20 seconds, I am anything but comfortable with the move. But we can put the same scenario without Remco and the race isn't really better.
Some belgian fans are really insufferable, there are going crazy with Nys and today he was dropped by Pogacar really easy.
But no one can deny, Pogacar is great for cycling, without him, classics would be dreadful.
Only one alien racing and we normally have the same predictable scenario.Totally captivating race. When pogi goes and I don't see that needle moving past 20 seconds, I am anything but comfortable with the move.
I think you're right. It's likly the peloton gets no closer than they did in today's bunch sprint for 4th. Although one can argue Pogi's podium was salvaged by Remco in this scenario
The years Remco won Liège in a solo, you didn't read anything about boredom.Imagine today's race without pogi to animate it. Feels like a 25ish k solo by remco with a bunch sprint for podium behind him. Our benelux collegues would to whooping up the next merckx and going on about how great a race it was. boring..
Amen! The years Remco won Liège in a solo, you didn't read anything about boredom.
Solos are boring if it's not one of them.
There's no point in debating it; the double standards are too obvious.
They are not based on arguments. It´s pure hate.
There are certain riders I don't like that much, but I simply don't obsess with them.
I don't go to a cyclist's thread to discredit all their victories and spew hate. Nor am I on Twitter more concerned about that cyclist losing. Because some people, rather than enjoying certain cyclists or a race, suffer, and in the end, the only thing they celebrate is when they don't win.
Today, some people don't even celebrate if Skejlmose wins, just that someone else doesn't.
But that's like the double morality of those who talk about the clinic. Today the only positive on podium wasn't Pogacar, nor Remco.
I don't even want to think that would be said if it were Pogacar who has a positive in his past. They're already unbearable without any proof.
Today, those who would have told you about this don't care if the winner has a positive result. Those who play the moralist don't care either; they only care if it's the hated one.
There are all kinds of people, but there's a lot of hate.
During solos, I used to laugh at the bored comments on X last year in Liège and two years ago, the same users talking about the reincarnation of Merckx with Remco´s solo
LMAO,
They do not even hide the contradiction.
You can't take those people seriously.
He also knows he was overconfident.

Remco always was like this. He is always outspoken and sometimes a little bit arrogant but we also need guys like him, "bad guys" are important in cycling too, to give audience and content. I hope he never changes even if sometimes we will see arrogant and childish behaviours from him.'Without that fall, I would have won the race'
I see this in this link.
The arrogant Pogacar didn´t say it![]()
