I agree. Yates had a very soft spring season to be prepared for the Giroi have feeling yates will better than him.

That would be a huge blow for Ayuso.I don't even believe he will be better than Yates.
I think he was downplaying his chances. That would be a huge blow for Ayuso.
I think Adam started a slight decline in level last year.
He had a good Tour, but not as good as the previous year, and in the Vuelta, he was far from fighting for the GC.
I don't think Yates be a rival for Roglic in the Giro. And he is worse in ITT than Ayuso. If he finishes better than Ayuso by doing worse ITT, it would be a huge blow for Ayuso.
I think Ayuso's favoritism over Roglic is being exaggerated, but I think he'll be better than Yates this year, from whom I think we'll no longer see his best in GT.
adam talking out of his a-- again.![]()
Adam Blythe backs Vingegaard to level Tour de France rivalry with Pogacar: “I think they forgot last year, and when Jonas was injured”
Grand Tour season is nearly upon us. In just four days, the 2025 Giro d’Italia will roll out on May 9th, kicking off the summer of elite stage racing that will lead us into July and the sport’s bigges...cyclinguptodate.com
Adam had Covid during the TdF last year.I think Adam started a slight decline in level last year.
He had a good Tour, but not as good as the previous year, and in the Vuelta, he was far from fighting for the GC.
He is still young.Ayuso is screwed if he doesn't deliver in the Giro.
Yates has a habit of seriously good stages. They're usually bracketed by less so...I don't even believe he will be better than Yates.
And? 3 years after his breakthrough in the Vuelta, he needs to step up. He is young but he needs to show he is good enough in GTs.He is still young.
You just need to relax. And? 3 years after his breakthrough in the Vuelta, he needs to step up. He is young but he needs to show he is good enough in GTs.
I'm very relaxed. Probably it is my wishful thinking talking but I think he will fail in the high mountains. You just need to relax.
He has showed he is good enough in them already and have great potential to win one in the future. Better prospects than many others as of now.
He is still only 22. Plenty of time left for him.
Pog, Vinge, Roglic and maybe Remco are right now very hard to beat. They wont be around forever though.
Ayuso has already won some big races. His time will likely come and he is on a long contract for one of the best teams around.
Saying he is screwed just seems very overdramatic.
No worries. It is very possible that could happen. Either way, he is not screwed. It would be too early to say that, whatever your views are on him. Hey... maybe he will get a new coach in the future, eh?I'm very relaxed. Probably it is my wishful thinking talking but I think he will fail in the high mountains.
He is screwed inside UAE if he doesn't perform well in this Giro (not top3). Almeida looks better than ever and will demand leadership in the Giro next year.No worries. He is not.He is screwed inside UAE if he doesn't perform well in this Giro (not top3). Almeida looks better than ever and will demand leadership in the Giro next year.
You are not seeing a scenario with both Almeida and Ayuso in the same team as leaders. We will have so much drama. He is not.
Still plenty of races around. Still very young.
UAE could continue to dominate the forseeable future with these guys. Playing their cards right.
Take it easy.
I just don’t care or worry about it.You are not seeing a scenario with both Almeida and Ayuso in the same team as leaders. We will have so much drama.
Honestly, with regard to the Tour and Pogacar, it doesn't matter what happens in the Giro.He is screwed inside UAE if he doesn't perform well in this Giro (not top3). Almeida looks better than ever and will demand leadership in the Giro next year.
I know but I care about Almeida so I want Ayuso to leave the team.I just don’t care or worry about it.
He actually only won Basque 2024 (where everyone crashed) and T-A 2025 without big 4. So i wouldn't call those races big but IF-it was really with bad competition. So i don't see where does this agenda "he is a winner" is coming from. Also if he doesn't win Giro, he will not win anything relevant this year. Next year he will already be 23.. Also Pogacar, Vingegard and Remco are not going anywhere next 5 years and they will try to race 2GC per year. You just need to relax.

He will arrive in good shape. Like I already told you, he just needs to be good in 5 stages and his Tour will only start on July 17th. Almost 7 weeks after this Giro.Honestly, with regard to the Tour and Pogacar, it doesn't matter what happens in the Giro.
The only thing is that Yates doesn't have any accidents and arrives in good shape at the Tour.
Last year, UAE failed in the GC at the Vuelta. That didn't affect Pogacar at all.
Yes, he was extremely lucky to win PV and his TA win was against a weak field in a very underwhelming route. Ganna was second...He actually only won Basque 2024 (where everyone crashed) and T-A 2025 without big 4. So i wouldn't call those races big but IF-it was really with bad competition.
