Simon won the Vuelta before. UAE's prospects are young. Vismas not so much. SQS won a GT a few years ago.
Seven years ago. Seven years in cycling is a long time.
He arrived at Visma and won.

Almeida was a good prospect; he's not that young, and he couldn't do it either.

Given that tweet, Pogacar has a lot of merit.

Pogacar hasn't won his GTs with Sky or Visma, which they with multiple riders.
Pogacar has won four GTs against a dominant GT team like Visma.
None of Froome's rivals was on a team that won nine GTs.

Pogi has been with UAE only. Because of Sky.

I took a quick look to Dauphiné and he can make an upset in the TT.
Yesterday, Sivakov uploaded a video to Strava. Pogacar was training in the ITT bike.

This year I'm especially curious because Almeida did a good ITT in Romandie but McNulty is doing mediocre ones compared to last year.

The Dauphiné Itt is too flat. Remco will win.

Pogacar will not win IMHO but if he wins (or Vingegaard), I will not be surprised. There are two factors favoring Pogacar:
1 - last year, he lost 12 seconds in a similar TdF TT (but was longer and had a shallower climb).
2 - Pogacar's shape might be better than Remco's shape.

Yes I think it will depends of Remco shape. If he is in shape he should win it similar to 2024 TdF. If not however Pogi chances are pretty high.

It will be also a good test to compare to Vingo, if he makes a better time than Pogi or is very close it will send a big signal that he will be very hard to beat

If he is healthy, doesn't have any issues or crashes and still doesn't win the Dauphine it will be a huge blow for his confidence for July.
For Jonas a loss would mean nothing. He has already won this race and he is just doing the hard miles for the Tour.
The difference is that Pogacar wants to be remembered as the real GOAT when he retires so he will not tolerate a loss.

Pgi has already had 3 losses.
