The youtuber came back to his normal calculations after the underestimation of fridays pog effort. I assume its due to the gaps with vingegaard not being embarrassing like it was on friday. As we said earlier, his calculations always had +0.1w/kg compared to watts2win calculations.
Yesterday:
Watts2win: 6.43 w/kg for 39:30
Lantern. rouge: 6.53w/kg
Friday
Watts2win: 7.38 w/kg for 19:47
Lantern rouge: 7.21w/kg
If it's with L.r calculation pog was around 7.48 w/kg on friday.

I’m probably missing something but the numbers yesterday weren’t that much better than Vingegaard and Roglic in the 2022 Dauphiné I don’t think. Pogacar for sure could have gone a lot faster and likely would have been over a minute ahead of those guys if you put current Pogi in that 2022 race, but it doesn’t seem like Vingegaard’s numbers are significantly better this year than that day.especially given that he emptied the tank yesterday and looked like Pogi that day in 2022 with plenty in reserve. Am I missing something?

Pogacar was cruising. I have a feeling he was testing Vingegaard and trying to assess his w/kg level.

This is the stupidest take I heard today. Go to 40:15 and listen to Blythe's words.
He says: ''I honestly think on Jonas.. he is gonna demolish this Tour de France''
''I think he's gonna rip it open''. These words are said after Stage 1 of the Dauphine and Jonas' attack there.
I don't know what nickname we can give to Blythe after this? Any suggestions?

Of course, Pogacar doesn't have the Giro in his legs this year either, which almost everyone tends to discount.
True. You have to discount that—plus stay ignorant to every other result of him like WC to now, basically and the numbers in all races, which scream he has improved alot even. Absolutely zero people should be surprised at how easily he rides away, imo.

Looking back for ancient times which are irrelevant today will always leave you surprised. Shocking i know..

Most of those "experts" talk like they know something else but their opinion is based on pure wishful thinking (it’s hard to see the same rider winning everywhere with a dominance not seen since Hinault). There is no other way to see it.
Best stage racer, best classics rider, best sprinter (compared to GC riders), best puncheur. Fortunately his TT setup looks a bit off, if not he would win TTs this year (not flat TTs but hilly? I believe so).

By far the best climber.

Listen carefully to Pog's words. He is saying jokefully that he hopes this is his best season ever. His words: ''This year if everything goes to plan it will be the best season ever''. This is the difference with him and the others. He is not fighting Jonas, Remco, Mathieu and all the other mutants today.
His goal is to take down the ORIGINAL MUTANT called Merckx and be the undisputed king of this sport.

He might just be referring to his best season ever, because right before that he says that he says every season that it's his best so far. Still I think you are right as well. Just would probably happen to be one of the best, if not the best ever, depending on how the rest goes.

I found more interesting that he thinks he's more or less maxed our physically now. Even though that should not be a surprise given is absurd level.

If he wants to have the best season ever, he needs to win the Tour, Vuelta, WC and Lombardia. So maybe Vuelta is on the menu?
