Jonas held the gap well I thought. Pogi went too early today - that's his only real vulnerability. He has the burst that noone can live with but if he's doing that too far from the finish he's vulnerable to a counter. He does it 4 or 5 km out noone's coming back to him

Please watch the stage again… he could easily put 1+min on Jonas today, easily

The damage yesterday was done by the extreme leadout of Narvaez. I wonder in the high mountains who will do that job? Majka or Yates?

I want to say I prefer pogi just rides conservatively and within himself to protect the balance of an extremely promising season. But he just might have done exactly that.

Pogi was confident he can respond to anything from Vinge having 20s buffer and race radio. No point in gapping him 1:30.

That is reserved for July.
He know the numbers and his own numbers which are out of the world over the next person in line very obviously so naturally hes laughing and can do whatever he want cause he knows and it isnt close at all, naturaly hes confident.

Yesterday he pushed clearly by his body language and it was crazy.. today he was barely on a coffe ride it seems if only that while the other are dead, the gap is night and day in reality in terms of numbers and treshold, its comical in reality.

Yeah, at some point (around 1-1.5 km from the line) he had like 27-28 seconds but slowed down substantially at the end.
He held back very obviously far longer than that, check his body language almost slowing down several times ,just keeping the gap without revealing any numbers, it was super obvious, and almost looked like he actively had to slow down out of corners to maintain the current speed.

Then, when he got close to the finish line, he closed it down completely, job done. Smart and sensible, but it looked like he was on a coffee ride completely—quite the contrast to yesterday by his body language, where he clearly pushed.
