Me too, keep in mind 30 seconds would mean less than 1 sec/km, while at the dauphine he lost 1.5 sec/kmThis is what I expected before the Dauphiné, I am a little bit skeptical

Did not expect almeida to be so good on such a parcours, all the team has been good so far, except for pollitforget pog, whatta ride by almeida.domestique of the year, lol.
I don't think they've improved the material in three weeks.Tomorrow is a big day, the first GC test
Look to the speed. ROFL
Vingegaard always was punchy. It's incredible how he isn't better in classics.yes clearly cooked but super strong, to me is a good sign that pog was able to push him so much on a super short climb. Vingegaard has clearly worked a lot on explosivity but today was a super good sign for pog's level
Visma in general has a problem with races that exceed 250 kilometers.Vingegaard always was punchy. It's incredible how he isn't better in classics.
For sure, 50% is around 60-75s.Comical VAM but OTOH 2 minutes is super-short. Probably 20-30% of power was anaerobic.
There's one big problem, vingegaard has to prepare specifically for an entire year for one single race to reach this level. In march and april he would get dropped like a stone by pogacar, even on short climbs. This is the biggest difference in terms of talent between the twoVingegaard always was punchy. That, and the long mileage. Vingegaard still hasn't scored a podium in a race over 250 km.
And more kilometers the race has, Pogacar has more differential. Today 170km, Lombardia 250-60
By the way, they'll still think Remco would´ve been better at La Redoute than Pogacar.
He hit his limitBoth Pogi and Jonas were very good today to drop an MVDP in prime form on a sub 1km climb.
I would need to rewatch to decide if Pog had also pretty much hit his limit or if he knocked it off after getting the affirmative answer that he had been able to dislodge Jonas and thought the gap wasn’t big enough to sustain solo to the finish.
It's no mystery. Vingegaard has made six Monuments, all of them rather mediocre.250 km+ distance is a question mark for Vingegaard indeed. Pogacar is a monster in 6+ hours classics rides (so are MVP and Evenepoel). I'm not saying he has big problems with that (the sample is very small and his form in those races was far from his best) but he isn't proven yet.
I don't. He looks incredibly strong. He'll have to do the time trial wearing the mountain jersey. Between that and the ITT material , I have a bad feeling.
Pogacar was training long climbs like we saw in the Dauphine. Some here in the forum questioned his level because Vingegaard was "more impressive" in the first stage. There's one big problem, vingegaard has to prepare specifically for an entire year for one single race to reach this level. In Dauphiné he was very strong and the time trial was very mediocre.I don't. He looks incredibly strong.
Montjuic for reference. And this is not a "Roglic coulda woulda shoulda buddha" comment, it's just an actual reference for what sub 2 minute climbing look like. There was a chicane in this hill that does not help the VAM.Comical VAM but OTOH 2 minutes is super-short. Probably 20-30% of power was anaerobic.
