If Vingegaard has won the Vuelta like that, Pogacar could have won it too at a lower level than he is now.

And to think that he only has one more year of dominance in the Classics is quite dramatic, considering that Pedersen and VDP are stronger than ever at 30, and that Pogacar would have won Liège and Lombardia if he were less strong; he could win them by a smaller margin. He would win most sprints. If Remco didn't beat him when he was coocked at Amstel... and we're not talking about being coocked, but rather less dominant.
Pogacar needs to drop everyone to win cobbled classics and MSR. MVP doesn't. In LBL and GdL, I can see your point.

He will not be so dominant forever. Maybe he has only one more year in him to dominate cycling.
19 monuments seem out of reach IMO (right now). He needs to win MSR and PR and that is a big if.
That seems a very pessimistic take given that his main competitor (MVDP) is 2 years older and much more likely to decline sooner than him.

We can see that Remco Is also a generational level talent with a gap to the next riders every hit as big as the gap between himself and Pogacar so the hilly classics look secure for the next 2 years barring Seixas having a supersonic development curve. Maybe Remco with a new team and some different coaching input can find another couple of levels but even though I can see him improving I strongly doubt it can be enough.

I think Remco can be closer in classics to the point he gives Pogacar some (real) fight. In GTs, it's impossible for him, he will never climb like Pogacar (not even close to be honest).

That's wishful thinking. Domestiques will not bring Pogacar back when he attacks
If Pog had no team at Lombardia does Simmons start the Ganda with a 5 minute lead and manage to win it, or do the other teams ride in service of a Pog victory?

The thing about Pog winning without a team is that at the time he was flying under the radar.

You have to admit that having a team full of leaders as doms takes away any kind of tactical opportunities his opponents might otherwise have had.

If Pogacar had no team, he would attack with 80 km to the finish.

I agree, it is not far stretched to think of a peak Remco who maybe also progress next year, and a Pogi who is in slightly less good shape than these past 2 years. If it happens Remco can be a threat on LBL at least.
