An Hautacam level lead out from Narvaez with Wellens etc as well could work but is much harder to achieve on Cipressa as the lead in just isn’t hard enough to thin the field enough to simplify the positioning battle and put riders close enough to their limits that they are already pinned in line.
MvdP is a all time freak on those short anaerobic efforts but even he get grinded to dust in em in RVV by Pogacar.

In MSR however its to easy I cant see him drop him with the best leadout in the world even, I cant see anyone in the world doing a leadout to hurt MvdP there realistically, Narvaez sure but to shallow for him too vs MvdP to expect that to happen realistically, but sure best card.

Imo he needs to get lucky MvdP is off a tiny bit or eventually declines(which I think he will way faster than Pog.)

If you expect UAE to have a 2v1 situation or nobody in the group to have a dom, Pogacar still has to win a sprint or surprise everyone with his attack (not happening)
I certainly don't expect a 2 on 1 situation, and certainly not in MSR.
But UAE having 2 riders in a group of 10 is possible. Which opens you for a bit more tactical moves, forcing MVP to respond numerous attacks.

UAE had serious positioning problems before the Cipressa in '25. I hope they are better next year. Del Toro may need more experience before he can be a factor.

Yeahh this year, only Wellens was in a good position at the foot of the Cipressa. Pog and Narvaez had to come back from the middle of the group, probably expending more energy in the process. Then Del Toro was just too far back.

Next year, they might already need to start making it hard on the Capi.
