The best terrain to attack there is like 30-50 km from the line.

I have always believed that Hautacam was Pogi's greatest show of strength, because you have to take into account that the leadout was short and extremely explosive (perfect if there were 1km left to the finish line), that in the previous stages it was run like hell, Pogi had fallen the day before and obviously the heat.
With a good team, Pogacar wouldn't be caught.
Van Wilder was very important to Remco, he maintained the gap at 30" for 15 km IIRC. A strong team putting a hard tempo would cook every domestique and would make the race one against one. Remco would probably be alone, chasing Pogacar (without Skjelmose).
Once again he got disrespected for the Laureus award. Unfortunately predictable

I mean who cares about that award, it has zero credibility, alcaraz is probably not even the best tennis player in the world in 2025, I mean he's up there with sinner, 2 slams each and sinner would have finished number one if he hadn't missed 3 months in 2025 and now sinner is back to number one. How can you name alcaraz the best across all sports when it's not even clear he's the best in his own sport, it's ridiculous....
If you actually consider the difficulty of what each of the candidates have done in 2025, the historical significance of their achievements and the level of dominance in their sports it's clear pogacar would be the winner

Yeah, he really improved in these punchy finales. From 7 or 8th puncheur to the best puncheur in the world and by a long margin.
I forgot to say Pogacar won FW one year later so I don't understand why they mention 2024 post Pogacar.

Good that Alcaraz won the award instead of Sinner, who had a ban last year (even if the award has 2026 in the title it was awarded for 2025).

Compared to cycling tennis (and many other disciplines) have a reputation of clean sport. It's about reputation, not about actual things going on. Cycling has been totally compromised regarding doping: too much fight against doping proved costly to the sport.
Hypocrisy. In tennis, infiltrations of certain medications are legal, unlike in cycling, and despite having this form of legal doping, it's known that illegal doping occurs. Anyway, a tennis player has won 13 out of 26 times. Rugby, Ski, hockey... don't exist for this award. For this award the best tennis player always is better than the best in another sport. That award is pure elitism.

After two nominations llikely best if Laureus doesn't nominate Pogi anymore. Pogi will survive without their nomination.
Cycling is not in the same tier of tennis. Tennis generates a lot more money.
He doesn't need that award. His currency consists of gts and monuments. Apart from that he could't have done much more in 2025 / 2024.

Because they give out the award in spring and don‘t have a Fortune teller, Bolt did win the first award after the Olympics.
Yeah, I believe he will not win this award even if he wins all 3 GTs in one season.
