Is it wrong to enjoy the meltdowns from his fans? Or does that make me a bad person? IT'S NOT A BAD PERFORMANCE HE'S GREAT THE BEST THERE'S NO CLIMBS IN ROUBAIX HAHA UR ALL SO STUPID POGI I LOVE U

I think that pretty much encapsulates the sentiment I'm reading right now among his fandom.

Truly unbelievable this is your takeaway from all the posts written about the race today. The lengths people will go to to justify their beliefs.

Relax, the salt is literally overflowing and the visible defensiveness is just... no.

Personally I'm more curious about Pog's mileage. Dope or no dope every athlete has a body clock and Pog started young. He's going to be 28 in 5 months as well. It's just interesting to me how laboured he looked when Van Aert pulled hard.

The eye test is what it is and frankly this was the least impressive version of Pog in a Monument in a long time.

Sure, there's some salt flowing from that direction after the race. There was also about 50x the salt flowing from the other direction during the race just because Pogacar was in it. It's that hypocrisy and willful disengagement of one's brain I have a problem with. I personally only wanted to see a race with no punctures/other misfortune for any major players, and from what I saw, in that unlikely scenario there was no chance for Pogacar to win, so it's a fair result.

But okay, Pogacar is on the decline now, will half the forum stop melting down about his existence, so this place can become worth being in? Somehow I doubt it.

2022 vibes

But I haven’t read through the race thread yet but his thread is definitely more hate than fan gushing.

Wasn’t that interesting? I know it’s not the correct set up, but he looked utterly different on that neutral bike. Legs looked like they actually had to push the pedals for a change, some effort was required. I’m telling you, something is off.
Yeah, something was off, like Tadej not ridding a suitable bike for him at all?
This theory is even more fascinating than everthing i've hear so far, speechless.

Mechanical dependency. It’s hilarious how different he looks when the geometry isn’t millimetre perfect for him.

Let’s be honest folks, a rider like Pogacar, his physical attributes, shouldn’t be anywhere near winning Paris Roubaix never mind any of the other classic races. So many people have swallowed the koolaid to such an extent that they now think this is all totally normal. It really isn’t.

Forget about Foliforov, Riccò, Landis, or Vino. This guy is by far and away the least credible rider we've ever seen. Look at this list of results from 2026 and tell me with a straight face that it's even remotely believable that the same rider has won the Tour four times.

This is a Fabian Cancellara result list. Not a Grand Tour winner result list. You can go ahead and ask Nibali or Wiggins how well you can combine these races with Grand Tours.

there are hills also in races, istnot belgium world tour liek back in teh days.

Please tell me you're trolling; there are absolutely no hills in Paris-Roubaix. There are only two World Tour one-day races with less climbing relative to distance than Roubaix, and that's Classic Brugge-De Panne and Copenhagen Sprint, both of which are designed for sprinters. Even Gent-Wevelgem and Hamburg Cyclassics have quite a bit more climbing than Roubaix.

I agree. And I’ll say that even if he was merely juiced to the gills he couldn’t do it. Setting aside his body type and its obvious unsuitability for riding classics, the sheer wear and tear on the body, the natural fatigue and physical stress (and mental) that comes from riding a complete classics season at that quite frankly insane level (never mind as a domestique), should mean he would be in rather less than peak condition heading into the Tour. Except what usually happens is he comes in like peak Lance, fresh as a daisy and mainlining EPO laced blood bags delivered fresh from the lab of Dr Ferrari. He goes on to make mincemeat of a world class peloton that has prepared for and targeted that one race, and you come to one conclusion. Something else is going on.
