Why do the ITV commentators describe everything as a TT
This stage is classic Prudhomme. Who else would have a single climb stage, allowing the flatlanders on BMC to pressure the climbers on the 5th day of the Tour? The man is clueless.

I have to lodge in a complaint.
The lake is "le lac", "le étang" is the pond.
So, it's Plateau of thousand ponds, not lakes.
It's even more prosaic.
We have a mountain of similar name here.

Oh dear, Kirby from now until the finish. Is there an ITV stream anywhere?

I re-watched the PDBF stage from 2014 today and I really think the gap will be quite small. 2014 Nibali put in a good attack but only gained 15 seconds on Pinot, someone who he eventually beat by over 8 mins.

It's not so much about the gaps which surely won't be big, but about revealing the climbing pecking order. If Froome wins today it's over.

Not room for all the cars to park at the finish apparently, so one of the Norwegian reporters found the perfect way to get to the finish. Sitting in the car with 3 of the podium girls :)

The rider with broken wings (that's how he was called in Nairobi according to Paul) will win this stage unfortunately.

He's devastated, how could he miss such a chance?

2012 on the other hand was a bit of a bloodbath with apparent GC riders losing over a minute
