They should call BMC's bluff here.

I agree!

Whi ...BMC have Roche, Caruso, GVA & Schar.....go ahead and try

Do you think BMC would be happy making this Tour Roche/Caruso vs Landa/Henao?

I'm talking about this stage and possible yellow jersey take
And BMC riders up front can do that just as well as SKY riders up front

Haven't sky missed the front move? I thought their riders were in the 2nd group.

Landa, Henao, Kwiat. They got best 2 climberes there

Here are the 13 riders who have made the selection at the head of the race.

Greg Van Avermaet, Michael Schar (BMC), Jan Bakelants, Mathias Frank (AG2R La Mondiale), Koen De Kort (Trek-Segafredo), Michael Valgren (Astana), Jens Keukeleire (Orica-Scott), Serge Pauwels (Dimension Data), Emmanuel Buchmann (Bora-Hansgrohe), Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Soudal), Laurens Ten Dam (Sunweb), Lilian Calmejane (Direct Energie), Alberto Bettiol (Cannondale-Drapac).
Buchmann is a huge threat..
Orica should help Sky put the hammer down..
They cant let him go

It is Landa, Henao and Knees ahead of the peloton but not in the first group. Maybe they will try an cross on a climb if they are only a small gap behind. Otherwise they will just be there to help if the group gets caught by the peloton

Just tuned in, what's happened? Commentators talking about SKY being put in a difficult position?

A quarter of the peloton in a break at ~3 minutes ahead with some Skys and obviously many other teams represented. A break from the break ahead 40 seconds including some fringe GC-guys.

Sounds like it's a big mess! Interesting what this will do to the GC standings

Demare even dropped from the bus.

Tim Wellens also having a really bad day according to Belgian TV
Demare, Delage and Konovalovas on their own just in front of the voiture balai. Madiot will have a heart attack.

Funny how this would be proof that short stages are by definition the best, if it was a short stage...

This stage would be great no matter the length, but I'm glad it's long enough to provide more action and to tire riders out.
