Cummings said he will try to win tomorrow. Wouldn't bet against him. Simmilar to the stage he won last year.

Cummins is a good pick.
I would have said Pantano but he has to be glued to Contador.

5km to go:
tete de la course: De Gent
poursuivants: Quintana, Betancour, Pantano, Contador, Calmejane, Guillame, Van Avermaet: 0:23
peloton: 1:53

nah, this is not Vuelta
Cummings FTW by solo break from break.

That would be something

Contador in yellow... I would die (unless silly Nairo would took away some bunus seconds) :D

I wondering if Matthews can get himself in the break.

The Green jersey race is really interesting this year.
Mathews is fighting for every point still at the intermediates even though he's 70 something points down.

I can totally see Froome trying to do something here and attacking over the climb. But he is in yellow so he might not :D. It think that climbers have to wait for stage 9.

The final climb is not as easy as the stats would suggest. I never climbed it on a bike, but did it many times in a car. I have a lot of family in St-Claude, Lamoura, and Les Rousses. It's not an even climb, and the pavement is nasty/grainy...not worth being a Cat1, of course, although close to the finish it adds a little spice. Then the road to Les Rousses is a roller coaster, it's never flat. I don't see much GC action, but there's enough for a good final and some second tier, say top-10 hopefuls to grab a minute Ninja style.

Vuillermoz will want it. But I'll go with Chavanel ftw.

I'd love to see some GC action but I highly doubt we'll get any. Break fight should be pretty interesting though.

last 23k are perfect for Thomas to light the after burners with the Dawg on his wheel
This seems the most likely result to me, but there are a LOT of ways this stage could play out.

The profile seems favorable for an ambush but not the situation.
We may have to wait for stages 14 and/or 15 for those.

None of the GT contenders will spend any extra energy here. No need to. Not yet.
So save your anger tomorrow about why they are not attacking.

Come on! The only entertaining thing about this Tour so far is being able to get really angry at how disappointing it is. Don't take that away from us as well! :)

Finish looks like Foza-Asiago in this years Giro.

I'll give you that. Tomorrow's stage design sucks.
