dont worry AC - they wont give in untill Cadel wins.

If he does it will be the sweetest of them all.....

lance armstrong was sitting on his couch today watching the stage and remembering his great moments on this mythical climb. As he saw the *** attacks from the schlecks, basso and voeckler, he realised he had another chance at the top.

Lance armstrong comeback #4. Starting with the tour down under 2012.

nah evans looked really strong today so i would have preferred it if those stupid schlecks raced harder to drop contador and voeckler.
ANDY SERIOUSLY GOTTA STOP CARING ABOUT HIS BRO!
He should give his bro more of a super domestique role
its really fking irritating!!

That is how cuddles always looks until he cracks.

Harder would have seen andy gain time on cuddles.
But that is speculation and pointless.

Alps will surely be better.

I concede evans can win this tour if andy keeps wasting opportunities.

Contador is getting better based on what? Did he even attack once today?

He said he wanted to minimise losses and take the race to the Alps . . so I don't think there was need for him to attack, but to repel!

Really? cuddles was reacting to every attack and he even had a dig in the last 2 km. which got rid of contador and schleck for a while. yes in the alps it will be a different scenario. he will be more tired.

I never head such **** in my life. Take your Sanchez goggles off please.

Can I just remind you that it was Samu who was in difficulty after the accelerations and the favourites let him off the front because he is so far down.

Samu wasnt struggling with accelerations.

Unlike some hes been in and Al vs Andy battle before. He saw first hand last year that when Andy goes he usually slows down and those like Samu maintaining their own pace usualy catfch back on.

If Andy doesnt slow down, then hes going to drop those like Basso and Evans anyway so its pointless to follow every attack.

And what do you mean let go. Its every man for himself.. Samu wasnt let go, he crushed his legs and his lungs to go up the mountian himself.

Not my fault Evans didnt have the balls nor the skill to fly up the Plateau de Beille chasing him.

This is why I dislike Cuddles the GT man.
But to be fair, he has no other hope of winning.

I wanna mute SBS these two fools have no ideas

"samu will lose 4 mins in the itt"

Lets hope thats the same info that the other contenders are getting.

Rob Hayles says Samu can time trial, some sanity restored.

cavendish inside the limit..

shove that up your a** El Pistolero

He will be out of limit on the Alpe, short stage immediately climbing. If I was Movistar I would set a blistering pace right from the start just to achieve that.

Hmm, interesting..

As much as I like him, he is still 2 minutes down on Frank. I don't know where that time would come from if I'm honest.

Frank isnt Andy. Samu cant beat Andy in the Alpes but he sure as hell can beat Frank.

Lol why so? If he was out he should be thrown out. I have no problem if he's inside the limit. Learn to read a post.

+ A minute in the time trial. It should suit him, not too long and hilly.

because by attacking is how the tour is won- and if he's playing the same game as the Schleck Bros are currently doing- he's putting at risk a golden opportunity. Honestly- today's stage remained me of the 08 tour-and that's not good for Evans at all...

ok...I don't understand the LeOpard Trek strategy. Maybe I need a LeOpard Trek how we win book for dummies.

Use all of your guys on the flat lands, making Paul and Phil gush at how strong the team is, explaining how great the team is for sending two in the break...Yet when we get to the Beille, all the favorites are there with teammates and it is only Frank and Andy.

I read or saw an interview with the team where they stated they need time on Cadel, yet only seem to be preoccupied with AC AGAIN. Andy is like a bobble head doll, constantly looking for AC.

They didn't do a one-two punch. If you attack, then wait and everyone comes back, not really a one-two punch.

I know there is still the Alps stages, but sure seems odd to wait to gain all the time needed in the remaining mountain stages.

Does Andy think that as long as he beats AC he wins? Even if Tommy V and Cadel are ahead of him on the podium? Heck at this rate, Samu will be on the podium, AC will occupy the Schlecks and Samu will keep riding away.

You don't know how your GC guys will do until the final climb. I think they rode well, but obviously did not gain the time they wanted. Andy looked good, grabbed a few seconds...AC followed wheels.....

I think if they race hard on the galiber and alpe, voeckler can lose quite a lot of time. But thats a if and I hope those guys stop playing around.

Ok, at this point I'd prefer Contador to win rather than the Schlecks. That's how ****ed off I am.

I've given in. With the way he's handling the other favorites, there are only two others I'd rather see win this year: Voeckler or Cunego. And neither one of those is very likely.

Of course, if Contador is still in the mix after the Alps, I might have to cheer for the double.

Yes if they went faster then the guy who went fastest would have gone slower. Top logic there.

You forgot Evans, Peraud, Basso and Uran

<Hitch mode=on> This is outrageous. All that effort and strength used by Urán just to wear an innocuous and difficult to wash white shirt. What was he thinking? Perhaps tomorrow it is going to rain and it will be a hell of a time doing the laundry. </Hitch mode=off> (sorry, Hitch, I couldn't resist)

This Tour de France has been really entertaining. Voecker has shown great courage. I'd love seeing him at the podium in Paris. And despite the loss of quite a few contenders, the battle for the GC is exciting. (and Urán is winning the young classification :))

Good days ahead for Samu fans :p

Stage 16 and 17 Hitch. I'll keep saying it :D

Perhaps Samu, Vanendert, Phil can strike a deal together on those stages. I hope so. Phil for the stage and green, Vanendert for the KoM and Samu for the time.
