Flat flat flat flat. Theres a little hill to climb in there somewhere but not near the finish. Its not a circuit i dont think, they go out into the country to take on one or two climbs, then flat flat flat into the city and the finish.
Its one thing to have flat stages in stage races. But the biggest one day race, where everyone wants to win, there should be some challenges somwhere to provide excitement.

First time it happened was the Sierra de la Pandera stage of the '09 Vuelta. Greipel lost the points jersey to Valverde because of that, and thought it was some ridiculous decision to give the title to a Spaniard before being informed that it was a new and universal rule, it's just that he was the first to lose out because of it (he then went on to win the next flat stage and get the jersey back of course).
It also happened to Tyler Farrar on the L'Aquila stage of the Giro last year. He had been ahead of Evans but with Evans having more stages coming that favoured him. It could have been an interesting competition but it was destroyed by that -25 points (all stages have the same points in the Giro/Vuelta).
