I think they have had nothing but horror tours for many many years. It's their kryptonite. When you think they suck, then there is still the tour.

They didn't do so bad last year. Podium and a 6th spot.

Many of us do generally support the race and the sport rather than individual athletes.

See Ryaguas for a extreme example, getting very excited everytime any rider is shown on camera.

In this Tour im supporting Samu but 99% of the time i just cheer for action and love all the riders for their effort and a lot of posters on here are the same.

We love Cancellara because he neutralizes races, we love Schlecks because they drop chains. :p

Oh cmon, last year they were 3 and 6 in the GC. It's not that bad.
They always have 1 off-year, and then a good year, then an off-year again, etc... every other Tour is good/bad.
So next year will be spectacularly good

Devenyns too. Still supporting De Weert. Nice.

Yeah, Devenys did some nice things already this Tour. He was sixth on Super-Besse I think and was in the late breakaway in the stage Greipel won.

If no one crashed out of OPL, Van den Broeck would have gotten one of the strongest support teams for the mountain stages especially since no one would ask them to lead the favorites over the climbs.

SchleckA looks either really nervous or trying to hard to hide his discomfort.
Contador doesn't look good either from the brief glimpse they showed of him.

Basso/Cunego/Evans FTW :p

I do also and am aware of the general community. ;)
I watch basically every significant race weather the dutch are a factor or not.
It is quite clear the majority of the regular users are frequent for those reasons (minus maybe acf :p )

But that aside is natural for people to have their favorites and for whatever reasons they have, they have the right to support who they want without judgement from others who attempt to act superior because they have alternative preferences.

How long has Stuart O'Grady been at the front of the peleton now??

That is quite some pull, although the peleton hasn't thinned out much.

So, all those mountains have really shattered the peloton into pieces.

Last climb, Plateau de Beille, coming up.

We'll see attacks being launched at 5K?

As I speak, Jens Voigt goes straight ahead instead of making a sharp left.

Yeah, I'm more inclined to follow the results of Aussies, because I'm interested in how they go due to same nationality but generally I like followng a race and how it unfolds, and see what happens - who suriprises, who bonks etc etc etc. Every race is different. :)
