Gesink is able to ride with the leaders and Cadel is way out the back indicates that Cadel is hurting and bobby g is not doing that bad

And that is an indication that Cadel's injury is worse.

Gesink>>Cadel in the Mountains. Both are cadence riders with Robert being able to hold a higher pace for longer up the big climbs.

He could get stuck in a ditch after all... On the other hand, he is a good climber, so he should have no problems climbing out of that hole...

:D

The TT isn't ideal for Menchov, but it certainly isn't for Contador either. He usually gains time in uphill parts, not on the flat.

i can't recall menchov ever doing a really good tt at this distance and flatness.

1. Tautology.
2, 3. Failure to capitalise proper noun.
4. Failure to distinguish between possessive and plural of Gesink
5. Typo.

So yes, certainly superior in intelligence.

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't embarrass yourself with a "could of", "should of" or "would of" in that statement. To make more than 5 grammatical errors in three sentences whilst claiming to be superior in intelligence would just have been overkill.

I don't give a ****! Your hilarious!

Do you have pain graphs to back this up? Gesink has been suffering for large parts of this Tour (he rode the Roubaix stage with a fracture in his arm, mind! And during the same stage he fell on the other arm, which has been hurting since then).

Every day since LA dropped his bundle on Stage 8 and began farting about losing time as best he can, I think of the guys like Gesink, Evans, Farrar and Millar who have ridden stage after painful stage with broken bones.

Gesink: "I'm only really good above 1800 meters... this one was too low, only 1300 meters."

He's right too... he seems to get better as the climb progresses, whereas the others get worse. Well, I say: bring on the Tourmalet! ;)

Good grief.. Gesink puts more conditions on his climbing than an insurance policy!

Little bit disappointed that the great Spaniard couldn't blow the horse-faced Luxemburger away today. I think his spirit will be crushed tomorrow.

Armstrong is saving himself for the TT.

BTW Menchow did destroy Di Luca (later banned) on a longish TT in the Giro last year - I was impressed by his stamina.

longish????

that was 60k MOUNTAIN tt which took 1 and a half hours to do.

Cancellara thought it was so hard he retired from the giro right before he was about to attempt it.

I think it is really hard to predict TT results in a 3-w stage race - this one will be after brutal days in Pyre...

Liqui - I think they don't have it. If Basso will show something better than solid ride it will be a big suprise for me. Kreuzi is doing well I think, people are just expecting too much from him. I think big win for him will be to stay consistent and manage to better his 9. place (his goal before Tour). For the team - they are nowhere near the best, Giro is their main race of the year. Still suprised by how weak they are.

Shack - if they don't do anything, it will be complete disgrace, with the team they have here.

I expect Menchov to ride well, it's funny how he is sitting in an excelent position and no talk about him whatsoever

Yup, everything clear for me. :D

What a ride by Rabo, Bobby was incredible. Finaly!

When he makes an excuse he doesn't get shot down for it.

He says he himself is at fault because he is worse on lower altitudes, unless you really think he blames the mountain itself?

Just browsing the results I think the good efforts by all the guys who went off the front early indicates just how ordinary the final climbing effort was from the front runners.

By now it's common knowledge that he likes long long climbs. It's suits him.
It wasn't an excuse. It was something the interviewer wanted to hear. "So Robert, you seemed to have a hard time, but the last kms it seemed you were only getting stronger"
Then he answers that the longer and higher the climbs get the better he gets with a smile on his face.

Not an excuse to his performance today. Since he did fine there is no need for excuses?

Samu looks like an obvious pick tomorrow. But we shall see.
I expect ac and as to roll in together again.
