Nice one liner from Sean Kelly earlier:
"Every time the Schlecks attack, they send a text message."

It's the modern day variant of the classic (dutch/flemish?) 'to phone it in'. In a year or so, they will be cloudcomputing the work load as well.

So, what impact will this TdF have on Voeckler's salary? Just read he was making around the 800k Euro. how much does a rider earn.

Are the verdicts out on the stage win already? :p

The corresponding stage of the Giro was the 5 climb Epic to Gardeccia.

Eight Sundays later this is what we are treated to...

Ive still got that stage saved on my SKy + replay.

Thanks for reminding me. I might just spend the next 1.5 hours watching that instead:)

Ill meet you guys at the milkshake pool on the lesbian cloud

You can actually find one of those - milkshake pool on a lesbian cloud - in San Francisco. The milkshakes are organic and no one bites.

Have the crosswinds shown up yet?

I guess I need to download and re-watch it too. But such a day is unforgettable, unable to move from the screen. This time around I'm looking for something to distract me for 60km.

Where is the wind?

In case it hasn't been posted, here is a dutch pre-race interview with LTD

pre-race interview

He'll start, see how it goes, if it starts bleeding again/wounds open he will quit. He has a number of stitches, he says it doesn't hurt too badly, only eating is difficult. He also recounts how the crash happened (very as a matter of factly he states he 'just went too wide'; they were doing 50-60K/hr ended up in the ditch and couldn't steer out of it, as the ditch got deeper and deeper and was covered with lots of pebbles/rocks)

I suspect the reason for this stage being on a Sunday is 1/3 of France is currently driving to the south. Another 1/3 are driving home from the south and the final 1/3 are in the south, sitting by the side of the road watching the Tour and drinking wine

commentators here are talking about horses now..

Probably more bored than us. Anyway ITV4 coverage is what you watch if you go to hell apparently.

What Idiot schedules a flatstage for a Sunday?, somebodies head must roll at the Tour organizing committee.

In our Versus the image breaks up and it looks like the riders are the Predator coming out of camoflage mode.

I wish it also warped time and fast forwarded to the last 10K.
