Is it me or does Lance stop working when there is more than one person in the group?
No.
I have been saying it since the start of the stage.
He expects to be given a free ride.
More fool the others for letting him do squat.
He rewarded the last lot, by attacking them.

He ain't winning a sprint, though. That's for sure.

We now have the classic Pau game of 2 halves.

Could be a dull last 135kms.

Ok Thor Hushovd is certifiably insane. If he bridges to Cunego and Armstrong then the question has to be asked, why has he been wasting his time as a sprinter all these years instead of shedding some pounds and going for the GC?

i think he's trying to get a big enough gap to finish behind the lead group but ahead of the peleton for like 10th place points. he wont bridge... even if he does he won't make it up the aubisque with them

Tour de France should be a 1 week race. 2 mountain top finishes, 2 ITTs, 2 sprints. What's the point of this boring ****?

On another slightly off topic note: How come lotto all of a sudden seem to have a team that can sufficiently (probably wouldn't call it awesome) support a GC guy? even though most of these guys have been on the team for years?

Evans must be grinding his teeth. But good question.

I wish the break and Thor the best of luck, but personally I don't think I'm up for the rest of the stage, it was a good first 90minutes,

Sporza just reported that Basso was in the autobus? Anyone heard that too?

Seems about right, he was dropped less than halfway up the first climb of the day...

Maybe he wants to lose 35 minutes, then go in the breakaway and try to win at the top or Tourmalet...

I think one of them was Alphonse. :p:D

Versus is gonna hype Alphonse up so much that he will be the team leader next year and Levi will have to Contador him on the first mountain stage

That and if Moreau can take the remaining 60 points available, he talkes Polkas I think.

EDIT - No, but he will get close.

So it is 60? The commentators said 40.

Levi should sign a disclaimer voiding his claim to a GC place and go and help Lance in my opinion

Who he is, where he is and how he rides, it is pretty much a voided GC claim in my book. But he can't do anything that might spark the group to come alive. Lucky guy: on the only Tour work day for the Shack team he can't be called upon. Best holiday Tour he has ever had I think.

Are they still doing double points for the last climb or that day, or is that only at Mountain tops.

Thomas shelled out the back of the Peloton.
