That would of happened this year except the tour organisers are too scared to throw anyone off the race now. Past two years, no positives. Coincidence? I think not.

................and you know this? do you work for the uci? prey tell.

obviously, most of you found it boring, but to me it was great two see two powerful riders not being able to drop each other. of course, it would be more interesting if more attacks occured, but it is obvious they are evenly matched.
yeah, giro was way better, but this was far from boring for me.

congrats to both of them, and of course, samu sanchez, my new favorite rider :)

Horner is where he would have been if he were the leader for the race coming in.

He'd have survived better with assistance in the mountains and gained some time there. He wouldn't have lost the time helping Lance when he crashed. But he wouldn't have gotten the 6:45 he got on the break.

I think this is where he would have been anyway.

AS said he tried to drop AC but couldn't get rid of him, he gave all he had and tried to change the rhythm to break him, but all that happened was that AC attacked.

He's giving all credit to his team for today.

He says he's in great form for the TT and he'll try. Obviously he doesn't think he'll get yellow, but he'll give his best.

The rest of the interview is in flemish, I don't get a word of that :p

I enjoyed the last 20k, wish there were more attacks but the pace schleck set was insane. I would like to have seen 1 of them win the climbing contest to prove who is better overall, now schleck rolls over on the TT and it ends quietly.

CHRIS HORNER is at 10th overall!?!?!??!?!!?

And he was the one who dropped back to help Lance and lost 5 min. If he hadn't he'd be 4th right now if you add those 5 min back to him.

WTH!!!!!!

Good.

He chose to sign on the dotted line. A penguin from space knows the one RS clause that "matters" (and I use that term loosely).

Can we lay the Bruyneel is a tactical genius nonsense to bed right now then. Genius isn't making the most of the best pawns, genius is making the most, or even more, out of what you've got.

i've always liked schleck, and i gained a lot of respect for him this year. losing frank had to have been a real psychological blow (as well as physical one) and he was frequently alone in the mountains in a sea of astana. he rode a great race, and gave it a herculean effort, including today and the day he had to ride himself up the mountain post-chain. can't wait to see what he brings next year.

schleck doesnt think its over. Said its between him and contador.

What are the chances of contador falling off, having a mechanical, getting ill etc.

Two words...

I am completely uninspired by Contador, though he raced very intelligently.

Me too. And by Schleck. Don't want either of them to win the Tour again, I hope next year sees some young, attacking swashbuckler to come in and show them how it's done.

Contador came out of this tour looking quite wise. He did a cheapskate move to win the yellow then made friends with AS and didn't have to kill himself to keep the jersey.

The only reason Horner was allowed in the break is because he was that far back, Biffinator.

Although I do think Horner would have been better off racing for himself.
Morzine would have helped.

The 3WFs will love this non event, while those who watched the Giro will be left totally empty.

Doesn't matter anyway, the argument is void, because as others have pointed out as well he won something like 8 minutes from yesterday's breakaway.

i liked the comment where they said bjarn riis is almost as good of a tactician as Bruyneel," i threw up my breakfast a bit with that 1.

AC says he was looking to the yellow jersey, it would have been nice to win the stage but it wasn't priority #1, he's in great form, would rather have a bigger time advantage but this is the way it goes
