Even if there's no choppers they got a plane ready to get up in the air, worst case scenario there won't be any overview shots but the motorcycle shots will be there so we can see the AS/AC battle for sure.

Eurosport are definite that we will get the motorcycle pictures, so it ain't all bad.

True but that was because the Giro organizers were to cheap to sent the plane in the air they kept hoping the choppers would do the job. There's a lot more money in the tour no way they'll make the same mistake/decision.

Do teams normally do this for the team classification and we just don't notice it because it's never important to us normally? Both Caisse and RS both seem to be trying to win it - it can't just be this year surely...?

I don't think Caisse particularly care, but got annoyed when RS started chasing their attacks down, so it's become a bit tit-for-tat. Good on Caisse anyway, stopping RS winning is more special than winning it themselves!
