Perhaps Cancellara taught Andy a thing or 2.

Kinda strange that time trial specialists like Leipheimer and Cuddles sucked at this time trial.

Actually, it has been a LOT slower:

"yesterday on the Col du Tormalet, the climbing time was 56:30 for the Yellow Jersey, compared to that huge day in 2003, when Armstrong and Ullrich did it in 44:30.* And yes, the race situation was different, but 12 minutes?* That's too big to be accounted for by strategy alone, even weather conditions"

Multiple Track Stands?

Good proof that the peloton is getting cleaner now.

But did Ullrich and Armstrong work together in that climb or was one of them wheelsucking the entire time?

Even that is conceivable, given the early starts and LLS going better than any of them.

Bottle finished strongly though. We will see.

Wrong side of the Tourmalet?

Yup.
LLS in at 7'-18". The headwind is killing a lot of legs.
Horner passed him, too.

Same side.

Yeah little thing about the Tourmalet, this tour was only the second time they went to the top. The one you're referring to stopped earlier on in some small village, it's not the same climb.

new brain cells as well, as the debate was whether AC was slower this year than last year.
Whatever the 2 old boilers have to do with it beats me.

Only the amazing new time trial specialist Hesjedal is doing well

5'37

Where did Hesjedal suddenly learn how to ITT?
Very very suspicious to me. Sorry
With no results prior...
