@imbatido - re: VS coverage. Let me give you an example, right now the euro anncrs are talking about last years TT and you are seeing the race from a heli and the evans at the car, in all of this time that euro has been showing the race it has been a non-stop 'b-roll' (pre-recorded feature) of Cavendish and now they are interviewing cav from before the stage (more tape) they have just 'cut in' a little window next to the interview and are showing a couple of rabo riders.

I can understand the view by VS that there may not be a whole lot of action going on, but it makes it impossible to follow who is where and what the hell is going on. And they probably break for commercials about 6 times per hour (which they are right now while Euro is showing the interview with ac in one window and the race in a side by side)

@bobs *** - Thanks for the info......but that is pretty pathetic by Versus. I check the versus website every few days (usually to see what the spin is and of course the hilarious 'ask bobke' thread which Americans show how clueless they are about cycling by asking the same dumb questions over and over that could easily be answered with a google search), but back to the coverage.....everyone on the Versus site loves the coverage and then i come back here and there are about 5 'Versus sucks' threads

Quick forum survey:
coolest custom bike of this TDF?

Chavanel's ugly ass yellow/green one.

/Also like the ones Petacchi and Cunego have. They're horrible with the Lampre colors though.

Just saw a commercial advertising the black, Armstrong 28 jerseys that LA and co had to take off at the Tour. The ASO have interfered with his planned marketing ploy to sell new jerseys and t-shirts.

I occasionally go on their site and they have a 'talk smack' section and I will post some derogatory stuff. It stays up there for a while. Paul and Bob just make my skin crawl. I do like phil for the most part, not that he doesn't have his share of braindead comments. But Bob and Paul....sheesh.... as said earlier, when sports are broadcast by a team, the announcers are called 'homers' as they are fans and announcers at the same time. But VS coverage goes way way waaayyy over that line and Paul and Bob lead the charge. It's insulting.

Matt Keenan just said "this (Jerseygate) will be the cause of many topics on cycling forums in the next 24 hours".........Maybe Matt Keenan browses Cyclingnews????

Anyone(sans haters) who has a sense of humor does. "many topics" has never sounded so funny.

It's a nice looking jersey (def not for summer use), but I wouldn't drop a cent on one.

Now it's an interview with the hapless texan.

I don't pay much attention to the constant blabbering on VS, just turn it on and turn it down until the last 40-50k of each race. Haven't even looked at the VS site. Better commentary on the live reports here and I get more humor from the folks here in the forum during the races.

I'm surprised that there aren't more people on here complaining that they aren't "racing"

Only ones left are those who have one last stage at the TDF to ridicule Armstrong. I think of them as the "buddyboys". Don't know where they'll direct that anger next year.

I do think the black jerseys worn by radio shack was an insult to the TDF and contador. Trying to hijack the attention from the winner was an abomination. They should have been disqualified at the beginning of the stage.
