Funny how every massive failure is chalked up to broken bones. I want to see the x-rays. Then I'll believe. Only then.
Nickbeam said:well, nice stage. too bad Denis lost around 50 secs after the Madeleine, i expected, that the margin at least won't grow. Lepheimer is stupid, if he didn't work with Menchov and Ges. that's something unexplainable. but anyway, Denis is the favourite for spot number 3. i don't believe Samu will survive in the 3rd week, he's killing himself right now.

But hey, that's cycling.

Gesink pulled out of last year's Tour with a broken arm, didn't he? What a wuss.ak-zaaf said:Yes, Gesink broke his arm.

Exactly, he's done most of the first week with a broken ulna, which I suppose is healing up pretty nicely but of course it takes a dent out of your fitness. He says he felt he was the strongest of his group, certainly uphill, so I expect him and Sanchez to fight it out for third.ak-zaaf said:Yes, Gesink broke his arm.

Gesink had a broken wrist, not a broken arm
Riding with a broken wrist is next to impossible on a bike.
Clearly you have no clue.
Sanchez can time trial pretty well, actually. Leipheimer and Basso don't stand a chance of finishing on the podium.Thee_chisa said:i still worry about menchov, i can't see him or sanchez going for #3.
leipheimer or basso really i think, although it is still wide open. being wiggins fanboy #1 i hope he can pull it together and go into the final TT with a chance of a podium but i doubt it.
out of the current top 10 i think s sanchez can't timetrial, same with VDB and gesink.
menchov seems to **** up somehow, usually of his own making.
but what a great tour, i wanna see andy attack, attack, attack!!!!
go andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Guys like Evans, Gesink and others who ride with pretty significant injuries all deserve respect. Why not shut up and leave it at that?

This sport has always been this way. Only difference is the better medical attention and a way better treatment of the riders nowadays.
badboyberty said:Umm, you might want to think back to the 2007 Vuelta, Stage 20, ITT, won by some Spainsh guy with a name that rhymes with Daniel Danchez.
