looks like were in for a lull.

Zabriskie could be of interest.

After the dynamic duo, its a bit of a yawn waiting for the 100 domestiques to get out of the way, before the big boys appear.

Weather seems to be improving all of the time, which means nobody should be penalised with wet ones.....

Phil and Paul are just stupid. Really. Now they are judging Leipheimer and Armstrong against the domistiques of every team that are now coming in and saying that their times might hold......thick that pair is.

If it rains, they may have a point.

i think you so little about racing that all you can do is slam lance and slam anyone who doesn't slam lance.

yea, we know you don't the broadcast. you've said it umpteen times already.

I think you know so little about anything you post on that you are not even a joke, you are just the punchline you wimp.

OK, its off to ignoreland with jackhammer. You are simply too stupid to bother with anymore. Hey, but any time you want to actually grow a set and send me a plane ticket and money for incidentals......

millar seemed to imply his front brake wasn't right.

That is actually interesting. I was thinking that based on Millar's time that Leipheimer and Armstrong's times might not be that bad. If Millar was having problems other than his skid then Contador will grab a good chunk of time.

Those Columbia jerseys are truly hideous. How many minutes will Cavendish lose? Only three? Four? Five?

We're all wondering what Gesink can do since his tt results have improved dramatically..(uh-oh)

how does this question relate to my post that you quoted?

You're not implying that you think the tour will be won or lost today are you?

Unless it rains in awhile. ;)

Well, this is a stage very suited for him. I am really interested in Menchov too.

He locked up twice on the same downhill corner and almost came to grief.
Are you sorted with live feeds?
If Phil and Paul are talking shiite, I can supply Eurosport in Sebian, Romanian, or the like!

that skid lost him what 3-5 seconds? it's a lot. I think Lance looked like he may have overcooked a couple of corners a bit.

he seemed a bit nervous to me... uncommon in him.

I was just interesting in the audio. You would not believe how bad the U.S. coverage is.

My feed from the UK with Kelly got the chop. The rights owner complained. :(

Another question: Will anyone crash out on this stage? It looks a bit dicey in places. Imagine if Contador is so intent of proving he is the alpha dog he turfs it.

Dave Z was wearing a Lone Ranger mask! (I am sure it was some training aid that Vaughters found somewhere, but he looked funny in that and the ice vest.)

Can I make a suggestion.

How about I start a new Stage 1 'live' thread- which we can jump on to and comment on as live? We could do that every day - just so that other threads dont get used or abused.

Any thoughts?

You can bet the ASO got a good chunk of money for broadcast rights in Japan since at least one japanese rider would be racing. They need to show the two a little.

in american open wheel racing for years the job of the Japanese driver was to sweep the marbles off of the high line.

they got better.

I've noticed in reading German articles about cycling the word for rider comes up driver.

cool.
