Even if Van Aert stay, I don't see him winning this time, there are more sprint finishes than last year and Philipsen and Jakobsen (perhaps Groenewegen too) should dominate flat sprints so he would need to fully commit on hilly and mounntain stages instead of working for Vingegaard.
Philipsen is my pick, as he climbs better than Jakobsen and Groenewegen but I would keep an eye on Girmay too as he is in very good shape and possible climbs even better than Philipsen.

Van Aert if he does bother after all (unlikely), Philipsen if not.
Really, polls like this just drive home the extent to which all eggs are in the Pogacar versus Vingegaard basket this Tour. None of the other GC riders have any hope of fighting those two, the green jersey is unlikely to be a battle, the KOM battle has been poor for years on end, the white jersey is Pogacar’s by default. If anything happens to Pogacar or Vingegaard it will automatically be the third poor-to-abysmal GT in a row, and even if not this year’s battle between the pair of them will struggle to live up to last year’s. It’s why I’m not as hyped for this Tour as most and am much more excited for the Worlds and Vuelta.

Well, if there are two (or three) riders that dominate in the flat sprints, that doesn't really give them that much of an advantage point wise given the huge difference between first and second. One sprinter who racks up stage wins is a different proposition.
I also think Philipsen will win, though.

Will be interesting to see if WvA can stay out of it. I think that's only possible if they go for Laporte in some finishes and WvA decides to not contest/leadout
A lot of flat sprint stages so of course that's the opportunity for Philipsen. But it's also a very balanced sprint field with 75% of teams bringing a sprinter so it will be hard to clearly stand out. maybe they also decide to go for van de Poel in a stage that could be also a sprint. Stage 8 and 11 come to mind there.

I’d allow it but realistically Cav’s getting one or two stages unless something crazy happens.
If it comes to the sprinters I’d say Philipsen as well, not only is he the better climber and potential breakaway threat for points but more consistent than Jakobsen or Groenewegen. For stage wins I think Philipsen gets 2-3, Cav 1-2, and Jakobsen, Groenewegen, and Girmay 1. Ewan to get one if Philipsen and/or Cav win 2 and 1. That’s assuming WVA doesn’t try since he said he isn’t focused on green so saving his energy for the mountains. Segwaying into another topic on WVA, if he leaves in the middle of the race I could see Vinge losing because of that. Kind of like how Roglic got his revenge, Pog getting his for his team getting decimated.

even if he doesn't specifically aim for it, I'd guess he's still the sprinter most likely to make it over the Jaizkibel on day 2, which is a 50pt stage. So he could end up with a good bit of an early advantage.

It does carry a little bit of status in Norway. The only reason being that many Norwegians, who never cared anything about cycling before, started watching the tour because of Thor Hushovd - followed by EBH and Kristoff. Before that Norway was more like Sweden, not at all interested in cycling. Those that started watching are now starting to realize that bike racing isn't all about the green jersey.

I find it interesting
I find it interesting as well, if it's a competive year then moreso.
there are times in the race where it maybe the only interesting show in town.
It certainly carrys an importance in a riders home country, also if a rider has multiple wins.
Even now Kelly is sometimes referred to as the guy who won four green jerseys.
