What country has had the highest numbers of riders in the Tour with not two riders on the same team?

Ok let's take a gamble. Colombia?

Really good question btw.

I doubt it's denmark, for example saxo will not count if it happened in one of the previours tour's since more than 1.

And i don't know many danish riders outside saxo in recent years at least.

So wait, we are counting which country has had the highest number of riders in the Tour (100 editions) without EVER having 2 riders on 1 team. Is that even possible to find out?

Seeing as it used to be national teams this will be very hard. It would have to be a country that didn't send a team back then.

Definately not Colombia cos they had a team in the 80's.

im thinking maybe Canada which this year has 3 riders on 3 seperate teams, maybe Poland which has likewise, Slovakia perhaps, but answer is probably way more obscure than that.

This year there are 3 Danish riders but 0 on saxo. But yest in the past they will have had more than 1 thereby disqualifying them.

That's the slightly confusing bit, but I'm assuming it means that if there are two on any team it removes that whole country from the running, not just those on that team.

I think he means the most riders in 1 tour, not in total (all the tours). I hope at least otherwise it's pretty much impossible to find out.

Whatever, i have no idea, maybe he means from all the tour editions. Good luck with that...lol

I think this is right.

I'm also slowly coming to the opinion that he doesn't know and it's going to be the most frustrating thing in the world...
