Edit, I forgot to add the final part of the question, which gives the final right answer to the question.

Take the 18th character from the first answer (including spaces) , the 3rd from the 2nd answer and the 4th character from the 3rd answer to get the final mega answer. Hint- greatest race on earth:D

Madeline was the easiest part of the question because it has the distinctive flattening out in the middle, and few tdf climbs are that huge.
That there hadn't been an MTF there to my knowledge made me question it though, and we didn't have a sense of scale as the others could have been medium mountain stages. I did waver a bit and think of naming Val Thorens, but stayed with my first chaque.

Madeleine is often billed at 2000 or 2001, I believe the official altitude black col sign says 2000, but it is commonly accepted as more realistically about 1993.

Not sure how the super answer works, but I'm expecting G, D, I (I can get the G from Laudelino Cubino González, but struggling on the D and I). I also thought about T, D, P, but can't get a T out of Cubino.

How do you use google to find the answer to that?

The reason I ask is because I once asked on that other website, people to identify which 1 day race this is a profile of
bigraceprofile.png

And within seconds Krebs (suitcase of chaos guy on here) gave me the right answer even though the immage isnt actually a profile of a cycling race but a graph of polling data from the US election.

I mean sorry. My **** up. A was right. Really sorry that i said it was wrong. I meant that C was wrong (though it was sort of right)

You can use google reverse image search

That's easy. Just google the image and it will show that it is from a poll.

(That's not what I did with your profile, as that wouldn't work)

That doesn't make any sense :confused:

Why not?

Take the 18th character from the first answer.

Laudelino Cubino Gonzalez = G

The 3rd character from the 2nd answer.

Ported d Aspet = r

And the 4th character from the 3rd answer.

2000 = 0

Gr0= Giro.

You mean google the URL? How so, since the URL is my photobucket.

I knew it was Giro all along :)

I have a question, I hope you don't mind since the thread is in a standstill. What was Wiggins's biggest virtual lead in the TDF?

Considering he got a huge margin from the penultimate stage im guessing how he finished. Unless froome went stronger 2nd half of tt than 1st and wiggins had a bigger marghin on him halfway through.

Or if they did that thing where the top 2 attack eachother for laughs on the champs elysee stage in which case it would be his final margin + 3 seconds at some point where he attacks froome. Or if froome got a mechanical or something.

ps, I do get the feeling this thread would be more likely to prosper now if it moved on to general cycling quiz rather than just being limited to 1 race.

HINT: His biggest lead wasn't in 2012 Tour.

I'm not actually playing because I'm horrible at coming up with questions...
But why do I get a suspicion it happened at a time when people might've said something like "Wiggins? Oh... he's mostly a track rider, isn't he? Not much of a GT GC potential there..."

It was in 2007.

11'40

Before the stage he was 5'40 after Canc.

Wiggins, riding for Cofidis, broke clear of the pack after just two kilometres and had built up a huge lead of 17 minutes and 20 seconds 53km later

I'll give it to Carlo, but nice work Netserk.

I guess that means I need to set a question.

I'm struggling to think of a good one and I think some might find this quite easy.

Who was the most recent rider to win both the first and the last stage of one years Tour de France?
