Hi, sorry havent read the whole thread so apologies if this question has already been answered.

Are there time bonuses for the sprints? If not then i would have thought that Mick Rogers could be more favoured than EBH? Could see it being a bigger aim for him so he may well aim to peak for this?

LL Sanchez's chances

What do you think of LL Sanchez's chances to win it? He has a strong trio of Aussies to support him and he did say he's more comfortable in Rabo now.

I would love to see Lulu win and he is my pick. I hope he is feeling good at this point in time although I have not heard anything from the Rabo camp....:)

Apparently he really enjoys this race (has ridden it 4 times?) and has won the overall and a few stages in the past. I'd say he's a good chance for the overall, especially with the Wilunga stage this year.

Don't know about the Aussie 'support' (they'd rather win the race themselves, I reckon) but Willunga Hill is really suited to Lulu. On paper, based on earlier appearances, he should be one of the favourites to win. Maybe they've brought Kelderman as his personal domestique.

Totally random, and might've already been discussed.
But does anyone know who's been chosen as the "Fan Favourite" this year? Ya know; the unknown non-English-speaking domestique being threated like a star...

I think @cyclingtips is currently trying to find one. He nominated Wilco Kelderman.

Yeah but they've failed on the bit on finding a rider who doesn't speak English.

Not to mention that Grega Bole is apparently an "obscure" pro?

Kelderman doing the TDU, is he? Wonder what the chances of a Sagan-like arrival on the pro-scene are.

Vichot and Madrazo were good choices and you could tell they appreciated the support, but Bole has done several GT's, so yes, that would seem rather weird.

Unlikely, different riders. Sagan type and sprinters are most likely to hit the scene with pure talent.

But then I dunno what to expect from wilco this year.

Kelderman is fast on the line too you know. But indeed not Sagan like.

If he enters the top 10 it's most likely in prologues, short tt's, and hilly stages.
I really don't expect him to climb with the best or post a sprint win. Very unlikely.

Although with Kittel, nobody expected him to post that many sprint wins as he was a tt-er at the u23 mainly.

I meant more like Sagan getting away with Evans and Valverde (and Nibali?) at the TDU. Kelderman to do something on Wilunga maybe.
