Is it that surprising? Bianchi are without a team, Belkin without a bike.pastronef said:Bianchi?!!!

I don't think any of the parties really had a choice.pastronef said:I didn't see it coming. I was not thinking about Bianchi to replace Giant

Ferminal said:Nice moves, what happens to Felt?
Argos already are WTMichele said:No news about that, but I guess it's all due to sponsor size, as Argos wanna turn WT next year.
Probably we will see them with any Pro Conti/Continental team.

JRanton said:Sky's deal with Pinarello expires at the end of this year. Has anyone heard any news about an extension? Last year they signed a one year extension before the Tour.
MatParker117 said:There were rumours about Specialized prior to last year and they were close with Trek at one point.

Ferminal said:I thought they were breaking up? Does this mean they will drop Movistar... would be cool if they went Orbea.
Parrulo said:Why would this mean they will drop Movistar?
Abarca sports has ridden Pinarellos since the 80's so why would that change now? Besides Movistar is on the high being the second best team in the world with the best young talent in the world so even from a business point of view, it wouldn't make any sense.
hidache said:Because the Pinarello product development is being done by Sky and Sky doesn't want Movistar to benefit from their innovations. That's why Movistar (or at least their leaders) is (are) still on the graal tt bikes and not on the new bolide, which was developed by Sky engineers. The problem however, is that Movistar wants all the new Pinarello gear as well. So that's a bit of an issue between these teams and the company.
Pippo_San said:Actually Movistar used the newly developed Sibilo TT bikes, it's not like they were forced in the past...also Movistar uses Campagnolo gearing, while Sky uses Shimano...I don't see the issue there, except for the manufacturer itself which is producing two different lines of products...
