Why is he holding the cup from the base? Does he not know how to drink coffee like Italian?
true, he holds it like a friggin noodle soup, or a couscous bowl or something.
How embarrassing... it's coffee/tea, not noodles or rice, Dawg!

dozen of posts from different members about how Dawg holds a cup :D
funny nevertheless

Just trying to get every last marginal gain from holding a cup

in one thing the SKY narrative has succeded
they put the "marginal gains" spin so deep in peoples mind, one cannot stop thinking about that, like it or not.
:D

I have watched in amazement. There is not only obsession but they have failed to observe the simplest thing, The other rider has full gloves on and it is therefore cold. He is warming his hands on the warmth from the tea. That's me done on this one.

there's always this handful of posters who keep coming back to the clinic to post off topic stuff and to question 'the clinic's credibility'. So one wonders why do these guys keep coming back to this place?

TBF, when you have guns like Froome's you need to be careful how you lift the cup.

Don't want to accidentally beef up those biceps! ;)

Hog have you ever been a teenager boy, home from school around 14:30 (15:30 CET) waiting for the other tv programs to finish and watch the live coverage of any race? Tirreno, Paris-Nice, Giro etc?
it seems not. it ***** seems not
I am not a teenager anymore and my vision of pro cycling has changed a lot, but I look back to those times in a nostalgic way
but maybe the Clinic is not the place to discuss about that.

*very unlikely to ever happen, of course

ah yes, Nairo. rode San Luis in January and stayed in Colombia (who´s even more far away that South Africa)

I didnt hear anybody complain about where he trains and how often he races
yes, he rode Colombian nationals too
;

That must have been because you had your fingers in your ears in addition to having your eyes closed. :D If you were to take the time to do a bit of research on the forum you would find multiple posts questioning Quintana and virtually any other major Colombian pro who chose to train at home as opposed to in Europe somewhere.

I was referring to the last month, while Froome was in South Africa (and Quintana at home in Colombia)
I know colombians were questioned before on the forum
I mean I did not read question about Quintana during these 2 months after Tour de San Luis, while question about Froome there were aplenty

i can think of several reasons for that.

a. this is an anglophone forum, so anglophone riders are gonna yield more discussion. Rversely, spanish-language forums are likely to focus more on Nairo.

b. Nairo didn't win the TdF 2 times.

c. Nairo didn't undergo any crazy transformation that have the words DOPER written all over it.

d. Nairo doesn't insult our intelligence on a daily basis with blathering about marginal gains, faxes, and so on.

e. Nairo doesn't have a whole legion of fanboys with typewriters who unquestioningly reprint all that blathering about marginal gains, faxes, and so on.

f. We're just jealous anonymous Froome haters.

g. We're jealous anonymous Froome haters as well as bitter wankers with a Froome-Cound obsession complex and an axe to grind.

The truth will lie somewhere in the middle. :D

Check El Clinico for the lastest on Nairo and others...

It is the fanboys and SKy themselves who perpetuate the lengths of these threads. Trying to obsfuscate, defend and ignore the obvious.

see above from sniper

but in a more concise form

Niaro is a wee columbian who rides like a wee columbian
Froome rides both like a wee columbian and tony martin
and at the age Niaro was at the front end of GTs..our hapless hero was warming his hands on the butt cheeks of team mates (with gloves on)....

Yes, without Sergio Heano, Thomas may have lost Paris-Nice

Sergio Henao will resume racing with Team Sky at the Tour de Suisse this Saturday after undergoing scientific testing to explain out-of-competition test anomalies.

Sky withdrew Henao from his race programme in mid-March after questions were raised as a result of the team’s internal out-of-competition control tests.

We need a WAG war at the Tour. It's very important for cycling.

I predicted he was going to win Paris-Nice even before it was raced. It was quite obvious that he would beat Porte. And he could very well be doing a "Porte" and win Paris-Nice and Catalunya in the same year.

Next year, the secret recipe for victory will be passed on to Kennaugh. I could even see Rowe becoming a "gifted climber" in the next couple of years.
