If you wrote it yourself it is well written, if not, you should give credit to wherever you copied it from.

As to the content, swimming never struck me as the cleanest sport out there and Kerrisons record is so impressive that it strikes me as very fishy to say the least.

I let you draw your own conclusion on this.

Coaches

Kerrison says he believes Sky are the only professional team that offers dedicated one-to-one coaching to all its riders – they have four full-time coaches at present

To be fair he does have a point. I know one TOP pro and I was amazed at how 'old school' his training regime is. He is just 'left to his own devices'.

The team hardly rode together - which explains their lack of team camaraderie and hopeless Team Time Trialling.

I think cycling is stuck in a time warp so I am sure Sky HAVE used their advanced coaching skills and money / knowledge.

Do the Sky classics team miss out on this elite coaching program?

From the other thread.

Movistar have similar.

Ag2r have their own sport scene faculty at a local university.

It's just the usual "Sky are the only ones who...."

Movistar Team adds a multidisciplinary work team which will take charge of all areas of riders' performance

For what will be its third season in the World Tour peloton -the 34th of Eusebio Unzuè's structure in the pro ranks-, Movistar Team is adding the Cycling Research Center organization (CRC), based in the University of Granada, to its staff. CRC will be responsible for all areas regarding the riders' performance. Several aspects, such as training, nutrition, biomechanics or psicology will be covered by an expert group of professionals directed by Mikel Zabala PhD, a professor and researcher in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at the University of Granada, as well as director of the 'Prevent to win' ("Prevenir para ganar") program of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, related to education on values for clean sport.

We'll see how that turns out in 2-3 years time. It took SKY 2-3 years to reap the benefits (or they just shot up with wonder drugs).

Ag2r set up the sport science facility years ago.

Roche is a benefactor of its work.

Problem with Bots-R-Us is they only read articles on Sky.

They no little about ProCycling as a whole.

Mapei Training Centre, anyone? Plenty of riders going through there.

And I still fail to see how individual coaching is any reasonable excuse for the performance of the GC guys when the classics guys are so bollox by comparison.

So Cancellara can smash the classics using his outdated training methods but can't win the Tour?

Loos like Argos will win the Tour this year

"As a team we've tried to offer an alternative culture with coaching that lasts 365 days a year and we support our riders with nutrition and training and innovation. We've brought in expertise in all the areas we can so we can support our riders from A-Z so that we can try and eradicate the temptation of doping," he says.

In January 2011, Wiggins had told Cyclingnews that he had “always been a bit of a fan” of Lance Armstrong and said that he “sided on the side of innocent until proven guilty with him. There isn’t an athlete or a cyclist out there that isn’t more tested than he is.”

Speaking to the Sunday Times, however, Wiggins looked to offer an explanation for his stance in 2010-2011. “Lance was still a powerful figure in the peloton and it was just easier to say something that meant he wasn’t going to be on your case,” Wiggins said.

So Wiggins just admitted that he sugarcoated his words towards Armstrong in 2011 while being almost sure that he was doping in 2009.

Who can still believe this guy?

I thought Wiggins had a strong personality, well it seems that a guy who was crowned knight of the UK (or whatever) just did whatever he could to not get in trouble in 2011. Seems human of course but then being a such a ****** the last year and wearing stupid outfits thinking you own the world...Also calling out Contador and **** last year.

And now since it's easy to bash Armstrong he will do it. Trying to make himself look good, quite pathetic.

“When people say I dope, they’re saying I’m lying to my kids. I’m not having that.”

This is from the guy who just admitted he was pretty much lying in 2011 for his own benefit...I wonder what he said to his kids in 2011 about Armstrong? I really wonder...

== There are athletes / cyclists that are more tested than Lance. Which is true, but not what Brad meant, I think...

If he was caught doping would you consider him a cheat and a fraud?

Invoking the kid shield. Interesting. I know I said it before, but wth: if, as a kid, my Dad could earn 70k pa or 2M pa, just by cheating, I would not have given a flying fat rat's tail about the cheating.

Just sayin'.

Christmas at 2M GBP pa is so much more interesting.

I don't think Wiggins lies to his kids. He would never do that.

He's honest to them.

And forces them to lie

How do you get caught doping?

It's really hard to get caught doping these days.

Almost impossible.

The police are so busy catching criminals.
Almost impossible but as Contador and Schleck proved it can still be done. Besides Porte is going to go rogue according to you? And before Galic got banned for racist remarks he wrote that the cracks are already appearing.

Well, at least you can see the truth :D

Another truth - working with specific trainers, scientists, etc. Other teams have been doing the same for the same or longer. So 'catch up' time is a myth.
