You're already in the vortex, when people have poor arguments I allow them play for free.

I would have put you as one of the more reasoned voices here, so quite frankly I don't understand why you don't back up your view and why you feel the need to ignore it with personal comments.
I'll gladly discuss it with anyone else.

There is no proof of anything untoward at Team Sky. No discarded Actovegin, no backdated TUE, no whistle-blowing soigneur. Nothing.

We had all that corroborating evidence and that did nothing. Armstrong loyalists would declare these "no proof" and offer implausible what-ifs. Kind of like this thread.

Kind of ... except for the lack of 'corroborating evidence'!

I have to laugh at this taillor made stuff, if the TDF routes now where similar to the early eighties they would all be tailored for Wiggo

only one lower case "L" in tailor. it was a route major taylor with a Y would have 1 on.

.

There is however proof that he was Lance armstrongs most fanatical defender in the peloton.

Which is what this discussion is about:rolleyes:

No I think the reason behind the thread not having a large amount of posts is because there are limited Astana fans, but primarily because they can not match the stage racing success which Sky have managed to attain in the recent past.

How many GTs have riders on Sky won? 1

How many GTs have riders on Astana won? 1

Astana's GT champ did not come from the grupetto either.

1/6: Rest days at GTs can be good: Have just spent an hour shooting the breeze with Alex Dowsett which was both interesting and informative.

more to come

2/6: I'd wanted to catch up with him, he got to me first. He wanted me to know the daft things about LA last Oct didn't reflect his beliefs.

I did say riders on, meaning current. But Astana as a team has trashed Sky in Gt victories to date.

Just a reminder there is no line between British Cycling, the rules enforcement organization, and the UCI professional cycling team Sky. The organization that is supposed to enforce rules is secondary to the goals of Team Sky. Remarkably similar to the relationship between USA Cycling, and Tailwind/USPS.

In that environment, is there any possibility that BC would enforce a positive, if they even bothered testing Sky?

I know and it all boils down to business interests.

3/6: Everyone in Sky speaks highly of Alex, good guy with good ethics, and they felt what he'd said didn't tally with the person they knew.

David Walsh ‏@DavidWalshST 5m
4/6: We talked about it. LA had been a hero at one time and in China he wasn't aware of what had come out and felt very foolish that evening

David Walsh ‏@DavidWalshST 3m
5/6: He realises if he'd been a pro in LA era, he would have had a less successful career. Said he understood why I wrote what I did in ST.

David Walsh ‏@DavidWalshST 1m
6/6: Alex Dowsett says he has never seen a performance enhancing drug, let alone taken one. He doesn't need me to believe that, but I do.

I thought the discussion was about Walsh being a sell out.

Walsh has addressed Wiggin's LA love comments in print already. Which has already been mentioned. Anything else to add on the subject?

I can roll my eyes too.

I think Brad's a ****. And Brailsford. I want to see more done.

But people having a pop at Walsh need to have a think about what else Walsh could be doing in print. I'd be interested to hear what that was.

Alex says Sky are changing landscape. How? Changes he's seen at Movistar: the warm-up, the warm-down, the setting up of sports science dept.

movistar warm-up warm-down. i am asking him about special pillows.

how about the fraud of going into the hq of amaury sport and getting them to tailor a race route to suit the strengths of sky and wiggins?

how about that circumstantial evidence?

Did the ASO remove any downhill sections and guarantee no rain?

If we are looking for tailor-made, just asking.

Dave.

heheheh.

actually, Wigans would do well with a race in Israel. It is the only race i know of that finishes below sea level and has a net vertical loss(drop) of a few hundred feet when it goes into the dead seas territory.

or he would not do well if it was raining.
